permissions in redtail CRM need to carryover into redtail imaging
We can set permissions in redtail CRM by teams, however, these permissions do not carry over into redtail imaging. This is important for a multi advisor office where advisors do not have full access to the database.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

None of the imaging items have ever been finished. Finish the most important one.

Redtail Imaging does not currently have user permissions like the CRM does, which means that anyone with access to the CRM can access the entire imaging archive. Although there are different "libraries" there is nothing to stop any user from accessing all libraries, or using the search function which queries across libraries. This is an issue for growing offices of multiple advisors with separate books or keeping any amount of sensitive firm records on the imaging system.
Allow us to set permissions for document storage in Redtail imaging.

The lack of this feature is keeping us from purchasing Imaging.... This is an essential feature for this industry.

Yes, this is a big issue. We are a completely digital office - no paper. There is a lot of sensitive info in documents in imaging (SSN etc.). Also, any user could DELETE anything or everything in imaging. That would be a nightmare!!!

Since imaging is being sold as a compliant add-on, it needs to be compliant at the user level as well as the system level especially in multi-advisor offices! If any advisor with a RedTail login can see all clients in imaging, it's not really compliant, is it?

Please add the ability to limit access for users to particular libraries by allowing administrators to manage permissions - for security reasons.
We would like to see edit viewing permissions added in Redtail Image. This protects the client information when the database is shared with more than one advisor.
I would like to reinforce my support of such a feature....

Permissions in the Redtail CRM are nice, but they are negated when a database is integrated with Redtail Imaging. Currently, a restricted user can access all database files in Redtail Imaging, even contacts they are suppose to be restricted from seeing.

Yes we feel it's critical to have viewing permissions. Perhaps it could be integrated into a library for each rep. Then only the rep (and his team) could upload and view his library of client folders. Without it at this time the documents are more private in the CRM, though it may not be compliant for a back-up.

We have a lot of advisors who want to get on board with Redtail Imaging. They are looking for the ability to have one database shared across their whole agency in which the admins and OSJs have access to all of the corporate libraries and directories. Those associates will essentially be able to see everything. They can see all of the advisors corporate folders. The advisors who report up through the OSJ can only see their folders and the advisors/clients that they split business with.
This would essentially solve inter office privacy issues and as FINRA and the SEC get more involved with branch data, this may solve regulatory issues as well.

We don't use the viewing permissions but would like the ability to make some folders viewable only to the person signed in. So I agree with this feature but to make it so that the imaging folders/libraries can have separate permissions.

AGREE . . . but also, please give us the ability to mark some "users" with READ ONLY privileges to images.

Individual reps sign in under our master database and see only their OWN client/prospect records through RedTail’s new “Viewing Permissions” feature. However, currently RedTail IMAGING allows ALL reps & users to access ALL IMAGE folders regardless of whether they have access to that record or NOT through the “Viewing Permissions” feature. We’d like to see the Imaging Folders aligned so that each rep has access to only the imaged folders that pertain to their own clients/prospects.

Due to Compliance and Confidentiality, we need to control who can see everything in our Redtail Imaging. Advisors should not be able to view everyone elses client documents as well as our corporate files. We do however, need to allow certain people to have access to these areas. As of right now that is not possible. You need to have a couple of levels for permissions. It should not be all or none.
