One Click Copy to Clipboard
In other industries I've used CRMs where I could click on address or phone for instance to copy to my clipboard for easy pasting elsewhere.

Family Portfolio Aggregate link
When viewing the head of household in "view family accounts" it would be nice to have the Portfolio Balanced reflect the family aggregate. Right now you can see all the account, but have to either click on Portfolio Balance or Accounts to see the true family account aggregates.

mark as not a duplicate record
When running the Contacts by Duplicate Name, in addition to the merge duplicate record action, there should be an option to mark the records as not duplicates so the same previously reviewed records don't show every time the report is run.

Voice activate typing - NOT copytalk
We use Copytalk (which we have to pay per person for), it would be awesome if the system allowed us to speak directly into Redtail. Not just for taking notes but for everything. i.e. Dragon Speaking Naturally. In the age we live in, our amount of time typing is getting close to constant, causing pain.

search bar
I used to be able to enter a phone number or address in the search bar and the client would come up. It doesn't seem to do that now, did you take that away? I found it very helpful (esp when caller ID shows only the number.) If it is no longer available I would like to suggest it be re-added.

Contact-ability to set default for address type and phone type.
It would save key strokes if we had ability to set defaults for address type (i.e., Home) and phone type (i.e., Mobile). Most all phones now are Mobile, not Home and system defaults to Home so we have to change it every time. Also the address doesn't default at all, so we have to enter the field every time we add an address. If we could set our own defaults to our most commonly used, it would save time. Thank you!

filter notes by user in contact
While in a contact's record, I'd like to have the ability to filter notes by user. We have a team that services each contact, so multiple people enter notes. I'd like an easier way to find notes I made for a particular client that doesn't require me to run a report.

On the Personal Profile form could you add the "know your client" information/sections to the form?
The personal profile form is great, but we would like to see the "know your client" information or sections added to that form. We would like to utilize this form when clients come into the office, they could look over a printed off form and make any changes or updates to their profile.

Automatically Link Contacts with their Company
When you search for a company and then click on it, you should be able to automatically see the people associated with that company, without having to manually add them in the department fields, which doesn't search for existing contacts to add. When you add a contact and their Company Information, they should automatically be associated with that Business. When you search for a company in the search box, the list should include those contacts associated with the company. (FYI - per a response in a closed posting. Ability to make certain contacts important information popup a window when you open contact
In Ebix SmartOffice when we had something in the important information field it would popup automatically for us to read when we entered the contact record. That may be overkill for much of what we save there but there are certain ones that would be nice to able to have it pop up

Add "Years Until Retirement" next to Retirement Date in Know Your Client
This would be a helpful feature for quickly looking at a clients record to determine the number of years until they retire. Once we type in the clients birthday and retirement date, the system would calculate the number of years until they hit that retirement date. Much like the anniverary or birthday counting feature. Thanks!!

employer/employment info
We want to start using the client profile print out at client meetings and want the employer information but we DO NOT want the Employers as contacts. We thought we could put it under the section of Know Your Client but that doesn't feed to the profile page! Why can't you give us a choice about creating a employer contact???

Notes to head of household automatically copy to spouse's contact
It would be nice to have notes automatically post to the head of household's spouse with having to "copy to another contact".

User Rights - Edit Contact Records
There needs to be several more user rights options. Add the ability for the database administrator to allow or disallow a user from editing a contact record. If you want to centralize the process in your office for who gets to edit records this is the way. There is currently a user right option to delete a record. Someone could still go into the record a compromise the data within the profile. Its the same as deleting it. We need this ability to turn on and off for specific database users.

Ability to archive a UDF
We use UDFs for our RMD so we will have one for each year. While that is very useful during the year and immediately following it would be nice, for purposes of keeping lists clean, if we could archive a UDF. What I envision this doing is it being removed from the list and anyone that has that UDF has a note recorded that they had it and what the udf contained for them.

Add state of residence of contact without an address
We ALWAYS know what state a potential client resides in. Any prospective client will gladly tell us what state they reside in because that is crucial to the relationship. States have different laws, different taxes and advisors are only licensed and can do business in certain states. On the flip side, people (in general) are incredibly hesitant to give out their home address until a relationship is built. So we will always know the state and will not know the address until a relationship is built. So adding a state without an address is absolutely crucial. And marketing is very…

Financial Planning Tab in Clients
I would love to see the addition of a Financial Planning tab under the contact record. It would be a summary page of where a client is. It may have things like whether they have a will or not, when that will was done, when we last asked about the will to make sure it is reflects current wishes. It would have places for outside accounts or insurance policies (for a placeholder for accounts we don't have downloading in and won't mess up our AUM numbers). Online or web link New Client/Prospect Data Gathering
It would be great to have a link that is linked to our Redtail CRM where we can email that link to the new client. Client clicks on the link and is able to enter all information requested. This will be a HUGE TIME SAVER. Plus, we can collect all information from client instead of us calling client to gather information needed, to then realize that there is information missing. Also, we can add the link on to our website where new clients and prospects can go and fill out all the information needed.
