  1. Clients Since Subject

When conducting an advanced search with the specific variables, there should be a column option that displays client since. This information is great to have when conducting advanced searches.

  2. Combine Email/Call/Text Logs

Instead of adding call and text information to the notes, it would be great to have one tab for logging of all communication with clients that could be filtered out between emails, calls, and texts. We have a text-heavy clientele, and we're new to Redtail but already finding that text logging is bogging down our notes list.

  3. advanced search

In the advanced search feature, it would be nice to have a way to select multiple "values" instead of creating a new line for each value. For example, if I wanted to search for two contact categories, once I enter "Contact", "Category", "Equal To"; I would then be able to choose both of the categories I want (this would serve as an "AND" function without having to add a separate line).

  5. Customizable and Sortable Column headers in searches, etc.

This has probably been asked, but it is pretty common these days in software packages to be able to customize columns headers in search or even onscreen reports, by adding to those visible or removing one (temporarily), and then being able to sort by clicking on that column header. For example, I can search by zip code, but cannot see the column result, and then cannot sort by the Contact Name column. Thanks

  6. UDFs should be able to be used in the advanced search feature

It would be helpful to be able to filter by a UDF when running a quicklist instead of having to create a custom export template.

  7. Customize list results views

Add ability to customize the view resulting from search results. For example, being able to add a customized UDF column, or phone number, or next client review date, etc.

  8. Get Advanced Search To Work as Intended

I searched for contacts without a certain category and after being bewildered for a while about why the list was so short I determined the search results did not show those contacts where the category is blank. To get those I had to add in another search criteria when obviously those should have been included in my initial search. Fix this!

  9. Adding RMD INFO. Tab - nexto Misc Client Info

Adding new Tab next to Misc Client Info - RMD Info.- so we can add Client RMD info instead of using UDF's or Important Info. It would be easier/quicker to find (at a glance) & make it to where we could either use copy/paste or creating your own template.

  10. Filter search criteria in Advanced Search

You need to either make the "dropdowns" have check off multiple selections OR if I have to use the AND/OR, be able to copy and paste what is already there so that I don't have to go through the dropdowns 6x over.

  11. Allow Notes to be in the Advanced Search

Allow Notes to be in the Advanced Search. Notes can have custom categories so why not include them in the Advanced Search?

  12. Broaden Search Criteria

It would be helpful to look up clients by SSNs, account numbers and phone numbers. Some clients leave messages with no name or when linking an account to a RT profile, we are only provider the SSN or account number.

  13. An account advanced search that allows exporting accounts and displays account instead of contacts.

we have a contact advance search(what we have now, pulls contacts) but we should have an account advanced search that allows users to see accounts, not contacts based on the search criteria so when they export it's only the accounts in the list.

  14. Inactive clients Advanced Search

Users should be able to search through the client database by date of last note entered, activity completed, or contact profile update so that we may sort our clients as active and inactive based on who has not been updated in an certain period of time.

  15. nickname

    Make "nick-name" searchable

Example. William Walton goes by "Bill" -- being able to search for "Bill Walton" in the search bar instead have the current needing to search for William Walton

  17. Filter Archived Contact Methods out of Advanced Search

Currently if I create a search criteria for contacts with email addresses, contacts with archived email addresses and no non-archived email address will show up in the search results.

We archive email addresses to clean up the contact record while preserving the Email Archiving history for that inactive address, so deleting them out would not be the preference.

I could also see a problem that could come up with searching for an email address that may be archived and needing that email address to show up so we can identify what client it belongs to. So in one case we…

  18. Adding Custom Search Fields in Reports

Under the Grid where you can select general fields like "name, servicing advisor, etc." add the ability to custom search other areas - including keywords, UDF's, etc.

This would allow for a more robust search tool within a report rather than having to pull multiple reports to get an answer.

Example: If wanted to see Clients with a certain category and a certain UDF option, that is not an option - you would have to cross reference the UDF report with the Category report which only makes MORE Work and us advisors less efficient.

This should be a simple customization…

  20. Client search

Searching for a client becomes cumbersome unless you know the EXACT spelling for both the first and last name - in that order.
For example, if a client's name is Robert Smith, we'd like to be able to do a search like:
    Smith, R..... OR Bob Smith
and then any client matching this search (INCLUDING nickname) would show up in the drop down. This would allow a quicker response when this client calls and would be extremely helpful when dealing with large family groups of clients.
Also, could the search drop down box have a more condensed list of clients?…
