Ability to edit font in every redtail application i.e. templates, workflows, notes, tasks etc.
more options to edit font like add color or change size when creating templates, adding notes, creating tasks etc. would make easier to create instructions others can follow as well as quicker when searching or something and visually pleasing

Activity Template should be able to utilize merge fields
Activity templates should be able to utilize merge fields such as clients name, today's date, the person who entered activity etc. in both the description and subject.

Add a custom form feature
If Redtail is looking to add new features, we would love the ability to create custom forms, similar to "Forms" in Google. Our office is always trying to find better ways for advisors to assign tasks to staff. We prep and process most accounts, and would love to have a record of the advisors' instructions be tied in to the CRM. If we could program a series of questions with checkboxes and short answer sections (What kind of account? 403b, IRA, etc; Who are the beneficiaries? What risk tolerance? etc.) it would be a huge time saver. We currently use…

Clone an email template
I can't seem to find a way to clone an email template; only to create a new one from scratch. This would be a useful feature when there are instances where we'd like to keep the original template and not have to create a new one or save over the original.

Note Templates
Note templates are a great tool used to help speed up the process of entering the same notes several times. I think it would be helpful if we could choose which templates only we would like to view. Rather than scrolling through a lengthy list of templates others have created.

Contact Templates
Allow users to create a "Contact Template" to set defaults (writing advisor, servicing advisor, permissions, advisor, associate advisor, CSA, keywords, and tag groups) based on a template.

Require Activities to be Templates
I'd like the option to force all activities to be made using an existing template. This would stop miscategorized activities, and also make sure all information is entered as we would like in the description section

Dump alphabetical sorting of database lists and templates in favor of drag and drop!
When I create new templates or database lists, the default setting is that they appear in alphabetical order. However, it is often more convenient to "bunch" them within the list according to like "subcategories." Currently, the workaround is to use a numbering or lettering system (i.e. 1, 2, 3 before the item) to specify where you want the item to show up in the list. But then it requires constant reshuffling if you ever change your mind. This could be eliminated if Redtail allowed us to drag and drop to set the order.

Activity Template Time Frame
It would be useful if there was a place to put a time frame/due date. Like x number of days/weeks/months from start date. For example, start date would be the day the activity was created as it already is and then the end date/due date would be 1 week from start date or whatever was entered into the template.

Add social media profile columns to the Excel import template
When importing contacts from an Excel spreadsheet, it should be possible to import their facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc. profile into the contact area just like you can for phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

Please allow us to upload mail merge templates in .docx form
Microsoft Word replaced the .doc file extension with .docx after their 2007 version. Sharepoint no longer allows us to store .doc files, so we must convert any file we work on from .docx to .doc, before we can upload it as a mail merge template, then we have to convert it back to .docx to store. This is silly. Please allow us to use .docx files as mail merge templates.

Allow .Docx vs .Doc for Mail Merge Templates.
We need to resave current .Docx files as .Doc (old word format) every time we add a new template or want to amend a current template.

Please allow for templates in Important Information section.
At WFA Finet, the Important Information section was categorized in with the acronym F.O.R.M. This stood for Family, Occupation, Recreation, Money. We are creating our own template and copy/pasting on each client. It would be nice to just have it already on there.

Upload to replace existing Mail Merge Template
Every time I need to change a mail merge template, I have to delete and then upload a new .doc file. If the original file was referenced in any workflow templates, the links get broken, and I have to relink the new file after it's been uploaded.
I would love to be able to just upload a new version of a .doc to replace an old one and keep the links in place.6 votes -

accessing templates from inside the activity screen
When in the activities screen, when cloning an activity, it would be extremely helpful to be able to access the different activity templates from that screen. This would help fill/change a lot of the form fields as opposed to have to do them all manually.
