Unique Email Dropbox to auto attach to Contact
This does NOT need to be hosted email with RT It can be ANY email provider. The only key here is the unique dropbox email address.
This would be an email unique to each user on a database. By simply forwarding an email to this address or by bcc when sending a new email to a contact, the email will be attached to the contact's notes corresponding to the original email (if forwarded) or to the email being sent to (if sending a new email). If there is no contact already associated with the email, then a new contact will be created. The note will show as being added by the database user who sent the email to the unique dropbox email. (I've seen this is multiple other CRMs and have implemented this in my own CRM but decided against using since I'm the only person in our IT Department).
This suggestion is either not possible or not planned at the current time. Technology changes all the time though! The same suggestion can be added as new if desired. At this time, we have an automatic way the emails are linked so as to maintain the full and complete client correspondence with no edit-ability for compliance reasons.

Would like to be able to tag a client's e-mail folder with copy of e-mail sent to a company regarding that particular client. I don't want to cc the client.

This is a big need for our office as well...we work with so many vendors behind-the-scenes and really should be "linking" those emails to our client records so that we don't forget what has happened.

I voted for this 2x. My specific request is for the Wildcard on a business contact, such as *@RedtailTechnology.com, that would capture all email to or from that domain even though the person is not listed as a Contact.

This would be extremely helpful especially when an email regarding a client is being sent to a vendor. Copying and pasting is too cumbersome!

When will this be added to the new RT? It is very limiting, and controlling, to force RT users to use ONLY the RT webmail system. Please look at the example of many other CRM systems and follow suit! Thanks!

This is extremely important to our office as we communicate on a daily basis with companies/carriers regarding specific clients. We switched from Ebix CRM and have really missed having this feature. Communication about clients is just as important as communication with clients.

Currently the only emails used for Email History capture are those labeled Email 1, 2, etc. If I have 6 department heads at one company, and their emails are stored in the Department area, those will NOT be captured in email history (unless duplicated in the Contact area).
In addition, if I have a company with 250+ employees, I need to be able to link their emails to one company contact without making a separate record for each employee - if a wildcard email could be used (ex. *@brgonline.com) that would be awesome to capture emails that are not necessarily a "client" rather a contact (employee, attorney, provider) that is related to the client.
Any usability enhancements to email would be greatly appreciated!!

I am having the same problem. Only having 1 email that serves as the "history" email is not realistic. I have companies with 5+ directors that need to be utilized.

To me, this is a necessity. We have other advisors which we have multiple mutual clients with. So if I send that other professional advisor an email, currently I cannot link it to the client unless I cc: them. I don't always want to cc: the client though. It is necessary for compliance also as the previous post indicates.

Another KEY feature. I work with at least 30 different vendors, and 90% of my emails to these vendors are regarding a particular client. This feature is standard in GoldMine, and there's no way I can switch CRMs without having this feature.

@Jim Curran - I'm sure that would be part of it. They would be added to the notes and therefore be searchable just like any other note. It would be nice to use the "Categories" since there's an email one to get note reports/searches.
