Cancel and No show Appointments
When a client cancels and no show appointment or does not show up it would be nice to have the availability ability to "cancel" & "No show" appointment not just deleting the appointment.
We need to be able to track the people who cancel and do not show up for appointment.
This can currently be accomplished through the use of Activity Category and Activity Types. Reach out to our training team at training@redtailtechnology.com for more information!

Redtail is touted as a CRM for financial professionals, known to have a 50% cancellation/reschedule rate.
In OUR business, we are required to "Know Your Customer". Apparently, Red Tail has no such requirement.
The CRM that I used in 2008, ELEVEN years ago, had such a feature, valued "customers" not needed to aggregate en masse to beg for it.

It would be helpful to have a cancellation option under activities for cancellations

It would save me a huge headache when I reschedule an appointment that is listed as cancelled, if the program automatically(or at least had a feature in the small reschedule window) to move it from "cancellation" back to "appointment" Otherwise I'm often rescheduling appointments that show up for example a month later(when I'm at that point) and the calendar shows a cancellation and causes confusion.

It would be nice if under Actions there was an option that said Activity Cancelled & Note added. It needs to remove from calendar to free up time slot, make a note in client record and go into a default category of cancelled appointments so it is searchable from the client level or reports level for all clients. This way you could set up a default report that you run each week to see how many Contacts cancelled for an activity date range. Seems like this fits the current RedTail frame work and would atleast give us something to use without totally revamping the calendar and scheduling features.

Has RedTail updated this in the appointment field? This would really be helpful if we can included an option of whether the appoint has been cancelled, rescheduled, no-show for billing purposes.

Just add calendar appointment canceling capability to the Tailwag iPhone app. Can't believe it's not already part of the app's functionality.

Would be nice to have a checkbox that you could click if an appointment shows up (or does not show up) to their appointment. That way, when you are looking at their "Activity" log on their RedTail profile later, you can see whether or not they no-showed to their appointment.

Agree! It would be very helpful to see when a client cancels an appointment, and what the next step might be. Completing or deleting the activity isn't appropriate and adding a separate note isn't always feasible since you have to go to another screen and do an entirely new step.

And while you're at it - it would be good to add another outcome "Rescheduled." This way we could look at an activity and see if it is "incomplete, cancelled, completed or rescheduled." If I move an activity, as far as I know the only record of the original activity is in the notes. I figure if you're already going to add "cancelled" you may as well do "rescheduled" too.

I requested both this and the ability to mark an appointment as "failed", approximately 3 years ago. Not only did it not get done or reviewed as far as I know, but it looks like it's not even viewable any longer, so nobody can even vote for it.

It would be great to have this option to select when a client cancels their appointment and so it would show up in activities and on the calendar as cancelled.

We need to see cancelled and failed appointments and activities. It would help greatly!

This is a very important function for my office. The ability to track that an activity was scheduled but not completed/cancelled/failed as opposed to leaving on the calendar as still open or deleting is greatly desired.

See above. We want to see canceled appointments differently than completed appointments.

To be able to have the option to add more actions . To have a no show or no business or something to be able to track how many times someone came into the office, cancelled, no showed or any other type of situation that could arise.

That is a great idea! That way current clients who keep refusing meetings can be tracked...and shown later...

It would be helpful to have a whole appointment tracking system.
1. Appointment set and completed.
2. Appointment set and cancelled and why; no new appointment set.
3. Appointment set then cancelled and why; with new replacement appointment set.
4.......
It would be nice to be able to walk into an appointment knowing that it was a second attempt and that it had been previously cancelled because they were sick, had a death in the family, work conflict, etc. being able to walk into that meeting and ask about these things shows an attention to detail. -

Completing the activity does not allow you to run a report on all cancelled appointments. Further, it would be helpful if the cancelled or rescheduled appointment would remain in the activity log for the contact but not show on the calendar.

This would be really helpful for us, too! We track cancelled appointments and if they were cancelled by us or the client. Right now we put CANCELLED in the front of the subject and mark it complete but we cannot pull a report on it.

When a client cancels appointment, add ability to "cancel" appointment instead of deleting the appointment.
