Ability to sort columns throughout Tailwag
We can't sort anything anymore. The old version allowed us to sort whenever their was a column. This should be updated on everything from activities on the overview page, accounts, company appointments, etc. Otherwise, we can't find anything. For example, the company appointments are listed based on the order they are added. If we can't sort, then it is just one big jumbled mess. It seems that the only place we can sort is on the workflows screen.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

I see this under review and read the notes. I could not find where sort accounts when in a contact record is discussed. I agree all columns should be sortable
As in the previous version, we would like to sort by the heading in the individual contact record. I see that we can when in the all accounts group tab but please this same feature in the contact record. Thank you!
Columns list at this time are:
Account / Company / Product
Type / Tax Qual Type
This is among my top requests. The ability to sort within a search helps me organize and prune contact records. For example, I could immediately tell if someone wasn't marked Head of Household b/c I could sort by that criteria - that improves my mail merges. I could send a tag group to search and then sort them by contact type. This gives me greater knowledge of my contacts. Without sorting I have to run multiple quick-lists to accomplish simple sorting tasks, or a run a report that I cannot interact with and is also extra steps.

Not being able to sort removes a lot of the advantage of switching over from ACT, which I just did. Thankfully this is month-to-month.

This has not been updated within the CRM. Please do this ASAP.
Please fix this ASAP. What is the reason it doesn't stay? I can't think of any.

I can no longer sort Completed Activities and they default to ascending order of date. Please fix!

The sort needs to stay... it resets every time.. please fix.
Not only sorting but remembering how you sorted something! I prefer my activities to be sorted by category... just another extra click to adjust that after every refresh! Can it be setup so that my preference is retained?
Sorting should be available for anything that comes up in a table. Not just for the reports!
This is on other threads here, but I can't tell you how much improved Tailwag would be if we could sort columns! I should be able to sort Account Assets by symbol or asset name; Pending Activities by Type or Assigned To or Category; etc. It's so much less efficient to scroll through all 87 positions in an account looking for one, or scroll through a contact's pending actions trying to find the one category you need. Let us do this on the contact record, like we could in Leapfrog, not via reports or custom reports. It's easier and faster for me to just sort on the one record! Someone in my office comments on this every day. Creating a brand new report for such a simple task is just too many steps and clicks.

Love sorting. Any table, not just reports, should be sortable to put the data in a usable format.
It would be so nice to have those sorting options back in every screen - not just on reports. For example, on the accounts tab, I open an account and need to find one security. I can't sort by symbol or asset name. I just have to scroll up and down until I find the one I'm looking for. This is especially frustrating in a managed account that has close to 100 positions in it!
Adding the columns of "servicing advisor and writing advisor" are simply not enough. Redtail would be SUCH a powerful tool if there were a way to choose almost any column topper we would like. Your search functions leave a lot to be desired but if you were to add the ability to customize columns, your program would shoot through the moon in terms of power. A lot of your customers left behind ACT and in this regard, you don't even hold a candle to search capability - this is the solution. Cannot emphasize how important this upgrade would be.
In the legacy version, we were able to sort whenever their was a column. In Tailwag, the view is generally dictated and set. The ability to customize your view on every page was a fantastic feature and the new version should not have dropped it! The sort feature was brought back to the Today's Overview page, but needs to be reinstated on every page.
Everyone organizes and manages their data in a different way to maximize their individual productivity and we've really lost that user customization in Tailwag. For example, If a household has 20 accounts, I'd like to be able to sort the accounts page by company name or tax status, depending on my task. The current view of sorting by account number, in numerical order, isn't useful. It's really only making my task more cumbersome and time consuming.
The legacy version allowed us to sort whenever there was a column. We could sort notes by type, subject, assigned to, etc. We could sort accounts by company, account type, balance, etc. This needs to be brought back to Tailwag. Currently, with the fields mandated by Redtail, it's a lot less organized and harder to maneuver through the data. Please bring back the customization that we had in the legacy version!
I am 100 percent in favor of this. I would like to be able to sort the search result by the status and category column. Please bring back this feature!!!
This seems so basic and I have so many things I do by sorting the "all contacts" screen. It was on the old version so it should be a piece of cake. If you want all clients sorted by category (for example) you have to do an advanced search with line items for every category you have? and then if you want them sorted differently you must redo the search? Please change quick.
On Unlinked accounts, put it back the way it was. You could sort each column and on Tailwag you cannot. It is very, very slow now to get through the listing.
It would be nice to sort Quick list by category

Would love to also see the name of the person the opportunity is assigned to included in the list of columns on the Dashboard
