  2. Client since mail merge field for Business Anniversary Cards

    We send clients a business "Anniversary Card" each year during the month they hired us. The mail merge says:

    We wanted to acknowledge Sept 2005 as the month you became our client. Please know we are honored you've put your trust in us the last 14 years and we look forward to many more years working for you.

    Can we get a mail merge field for the number of years from the "Client Since" field? It appears the program is already calculating the number, we just need it to be available in a mail merge.

  3. List Management: Bulk Delete

    It would be very helpful to have bulk actions when managing lists. We are revamping how we do client status, category and source, and having to delete each individual status, category or source is not only tedious but taking an extraordinary amount of time. It would be awesome if we could simply select the ones we want to delete and delete them in a bulk action.

  5. Select multiple notes to make "actions" on

    It would be great if we could select multiple notes that the "Actions" button would apply to. So you could do actions to several notes at one time (e.g. "Link to an account" multiple notes at once).

  7. It would be great if RedTail has a feature to enable a pdf attachment convert to a link

    With the technology we have today and hacking. It would be great if RedTail has a feature to enable a conversion of a PDF attachment to a link (hyperlink). Most clients are skeptical with opening attachments as there could be a virus, etc... by sending a bulk emails providing a link to the article or newsletter, it will prevent any doubt or scare.

  8. Rollover bulk appointments to the exact date and time as next year

    We like to "bulk re-schedule" our tax appointments for all our clients on the exact date and time for the next year. The only option Redtail has is to do it individually for each person and you have to manually enter in the date and time you want the appointment to be changed to. Would love something to be able to automatically roll them over to the next year.

  9. Being able to import contacts ourselves

    Seems like an unnecessary added step to have to send in to Redtail for implementation. Wouldn't it be more efficient to allow the client to import a bulk upload to manage themselves?

  11. Create Tag Groups from existing field data

    It would save us a lot of time if we could instantly create a tag group from existing field data (category, state of residence, ages). Even better if the tag group can self-update based on changes in the source fields. This would allow us to quickly send messages to groups of clients without having to manually select/de-select contacts for each tag group.

  12. Is there a way we can omit certain data sets from the software? Such as tax ID/SSN's

    Previously we have used RedTail to save certain PII (such as tax ID/SSN's). In an effort to decrease as much personal data as possible (in case of a hack, etc.), is there a bulk action to omit certain data sets from the software?

  13. Choose which label position to start on when creating address label documents

    When creating address labels for several clients we are often left with partially used sheets of address labels. If we could choose which label position to start on, we could create a new batch of labels using the leftover blank labels on a sheet. As it is now, we need to edit the label document to print only on the unused labels, which takes more time than it's worth sometimes.

  14. Email notifications for combine contacts

    Why are we notified via email about combined contacts. The notification should happen in Redtail - not outside the program. It is foolish to go outside of the CRM for details about the CRM. Actions regarding combined contacts should be seen in Redtail!!

  15. Removal of Tag Groups(Bulk Options)

    You can add Tag Groups through Bulk Actions, but can not remove Tag Groups using Bulk Actions. It would make sense to have both the addition and removal of Tag Groups a Bulk Action.

  18. broadcast email formatting

    Broadcast emails need to have improvement in formatting. I create an email and am required to add various footnotes. In word I am able to superscript the notation for the footnote but when bringing into broadcast email it loses the format and the notation becomes part of the word (i.e. Morningstar1 or Morningstar*).

  19. Create a Bulk Action that allows Assigned Tasks in a Workflow to be reassigned to a User or Team.

    Will you make a Bulk Action that allows us to reassign tasks to a User or Team?

    This would allow a manager or advisor to assign an entire workflow or workflows to a specific person.

    I agree that Workflow Templates should be assigned to Teams as is taught in Redtail University. As people come and go from teams, the template can stay the same. However, if this Team Assignment continues, Teams that continue on and reassign tasks to an individual user are forced to reassign each Task individually. This can be quite cumbersome when reassigning longer Workflows or when multiple…
