Completely agree. We need much more flexibility in the automated process triggers. It would be nice to be able to have a separate trigger for Contact Status change, Contact Category change, and it would be nice to have a trigger for Send to eMoney the way that there is one for MoneyGuidePro.

Wealthbox is doing this now, and is really slick. We prefer Redtail overall to Wealthbox, which is why we chose Redtail, but this is a feature that Wealthbox has that we loved. Also, Wealthbox would pull in all the profiles from the various social media sites (LinkedIn, Twitter, FB, etc), automatically recognize which other profiles likely belong with a particular contact, and give you the option to link the contact with the other profiles when you were in the contact record. All of Wealthbox's social media features were fantastic, imo, and it would be great to see those same things in Redtail sooner rather than later.

I completely agree with this, and since there is a field for entering the probability and the projected revenue from the Opportunity (at least in Tailwag), there should be a way to run a report with that information, but for some reason there isn't an option to include the revenue projections on the Opportunity reports.

Personally, I would also love to see the same type of option to run a revenue projection on all the Accounts set up within Redtail. Strangely, there is a field to enter expected revenue when creating an Opportunity, but there is no such field (that I have found) to enter revenue projections within the Account area under a contact, but only the information pertaining to premiums, investment balances, etc. It would be great if Redtail would automatically convert a won Opportunity to an Account under the appropriate Contact, and then allow us to use that info for revenue projections for our entire book, either for the entire firm or by rep. For us, this would be very helpful and, I think, a welcome feature to many advisor practices.

We are moving from MS Dynamics CRM to Redtail, and are happy to see all the progress Redtail has made over the past five or so years--it is much simpler to navigate than MS Dynamics is, at least for us. But automated workflows in MS Dynamics is something that will be sorely missed in our office, as we set up all kinds of automated actions within it, and not just reminders either but actual execution of those actions--automatically e-mail a Thank You when a contact has a referrer listed, auto e-mail appointment reminders, auto e-mail reminders to set up review meetings, etc. Since Redtail already has the ability to set up automated workflows, having the option to send out e-mails to people outside our firm seems like a relatively simple thing to do, and we hope that Redtail will add this feature soon. In the interim, we have decided to use Apptoto for appointment reminders, and it seems to be working well, but there is an additional fee, of course.
