We need the ability to identify emails that are not linked to a contact record.
It is our understanding that email history will only show up if the email address exists in a contact record. To ensure nothing falls through the cracks we would like the ability to identify all those emails that are not linked to a contact record.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

This would be a great help to make certain we have actually documented receipt of the email and/or copied it into our note section for that particular client.

Please have a report that shows the non linked email so we can see what we are missing or in case the client changes his email w/o letting us know.

I'd really like to see this report added now that we have our email hosted with Redtail.

A report that lists email addresses found in email history that do not have contact records to link to.

If they have this ability in SmartOffice then Redtail definitely needs to have this ability. Any more updates on this?
Thanks!

When will this be completed?

We used Junxure previously and like Redtail much better except for this one feature. Junxure has a binocular on outlook that was blacked out when the email was successfully captured into the CRM. This way we had an idea when an email was not captured and could manually sync it to CRM.

Very glad that Redtail is looking at solving this issue! While letting a few emails slip through the cracks because someone forgot to add the address to a contact record is not a *critical* issue, having the ability to scrub the database of those issues makes the CRM that much better.

Agreed - we are trying to move to RT from Goldmine. In Goldmine - even if the to/from email is attached to a client you are able to attach the email to a different contact. A good example of this is email that is to or from other professionals that we communicate with on behalf of clients. This could include a TPA (that services more than one of our client's qualified plan) or insurance companies that send proposals for a client. When dealing with insurance it is typical to obtain at least 3 (usually more) proposals from different providers. Part of our compliance requirements is to keep records on the different products that we considered. Having the emails to/from the insurance providers that are attached to the client's record (wether or not the client was included in the email) is very helpful in keeping track of what happened durring that process.

Agreed - we want to be able to link an email from someone else (perhaps an accountant) to that client's record

It seems like adding the additional email addresses should resolve your quandry. I may be wrong or may not fully understand your question.

More and more recently I get requests for a report or interface in someway to see what email addresses are linked to client records and which ones are not. It seems like users would like to be able to run a report or some sort of real time interface that indicates if an email went through the servers that doesn't match any record in Redtail.
