Easier access to old notes
Trying to access notes from long ago is slow and difficult. It would be nice to have a couple additional features. One might be a click to go to the earliest note. Another might be to jump to a specific date or year. This morning I was trying to get to notes from 10 years ago and it is super cumbersome to scroll down, let them load, scroll down again, and repeated the process over and over.
Yes there is a notes report. But that is a weak substitute for functionality that ought to exist on the notes page without…

When putting in a note have the ability to link a workflow
When adding a note in RedTail it would be very helpful if you could link a workflow to the note at that time similar to how you can set a followup reminder to the note that was added.

When enterring a note there is a section that allows you to link an account. That is great, but it only lists the custodian and account number. It would be helpful if the title of the account was listed their. We generally do remember account numbers and go from account titles. We noticed that their is no place to put an account title on an imported account. We solved this by placing the account title in the "product" section of the note.

Signature command for Note/Activity
Junxure used to have a "Control-J" command which quickly entered the logged-in user's NAME, DATE, TIME. (It is the only feature from Junxure that I wish Redtail copied.) Saves a ton of time when multiple users are fielding calls/questions from client or custodian and entering it into the same note/activity.

Tab while entering in a new note
It would be great if you could tab between fields when entering a note like you can in activities. When in the body, you have to manually click out of that area to the next section to update the other fields.

link notes to workflow
It would be super helpful if you could link a note to another note (instead of just adding a comment to a note) when a note is related to a previously written note. It would also be super useful to be able to link an existing note to a workflow (or activity or opportunity. I know you can add a new note for activities and opportunities, but I don't believe you can add an existing note). Like, say the Advisor has a conversation with a client about a distribution request and makes a note in redtail about the request. Then…

Color Coordinating Redtail Notes
It would be really helpful if we could color coordinate our notes to help distinguish between them. For example, if we can have a note automatically turn Red whenever a comment is attached to it to help distinguish it from a note that doesn't have a comment attached to it.

Especially if you are using an email marketing service; that makes it so time-consuming to scroll through pages of notes to find what you need.

Separate Clients texts using My Rep Chat integration from Client Notes.
These two areas should be separate, currently each Chat is saved as a new note, which causes important chats to be pushed way down the list of Important notes.

The "Comment" option at the bottom of an old note is great for this but it doesn't stand out very well. Maybe Redtail could make it more not

Have categories for notes, so you when add notes, you can put it in a category.
Have categories for notes. So when you do a note, you can click on the category it should go in. So when you look for notes under a client, they aren't all just there, but can be categorized for notes that were in regards to say: emails: meetings: phone calls etc etc

default team
Can a new note not default to the same team as the user if the user is only on one team? Why do I have to always pick a team if I am only on one team? At the minimum the team dropdown should only include the teams I am on.

Create ability to archive notes
It would be great if we had the ability to archive notes so that we can hide some of the extraneous posts that show on the Notes tab that aren't as important/critical. The notes would still be captured for the client, just not right there on the main page clogging up the notes timeline.

additional linked contacts should be spouse or family first
While creating a note and adding an add'l linked contact to the note it used to list the spouse first or any contacts related to the HOH. Now you have to search through all of the Andersons, for example, before you can select the spouse. They previously were the first one listed so you didn't have to go through the entire list of Andersons. Please add this feature back. It is inefficient and I can't figure out why you changed it.

Attach file to an existing note from main contact screen
We love the new option to add files to new notes. Very useful and convenient feature.
To take it to the next level -- we would like an option to 1) attach a new document to an existing note, and/or 2) link an existing document to an existing note.
Just noticed that we can do #1 from the Notes screen, but not from the main contact screen. This should be an option there, where we most frequently see the notes.
