Create ability to archive notes
It would be great if we had the ability to archive notes so that we can hide some of the extraneous posts that show on the Notes tab that aren't as important/critical. The notes would still be captured for the client, just not right there on the main page clogging up the notes timeline.

Signature command for Note/Activity
Junxure used to have a "Control-J" command which quickly entered the logged-in user's NAME, DATE, TIME. (It is the only feature from Junxure that I wish Redtail copied.) Saves a ton of time when multiple users are fielding calls/questions from client or custodian and entering it into the same note/activity.

When notes addded, be able to select to post under different user (advisor)
I submit all the meeting notes in Redtail on behalf of the advisors, so it always shows as a note from me. It would be nice to be able to have a drop down menu to select which user/advisor the note should be posted under. I had set up templates to have the advisor's name populate, but we are now using MobileAssistant and I am unable to use the note templates in this way now.

Please add an action under the notes to tag a team member after the note has been posted
After a note is entered, we should be able to go back and tag team members instead of writing a whole new note.

Ability to turn on/off the automatic notes generated from completed workflows & activities
When a Redtail Workflow or Activity is completed, the system automatically generates a note in the client's Notes tab. We would like the ability to control if that is automatic or not because we are having to go in and delete them manually to keep our notes section clean. We can always reference completed Activities and Workflow summaries, so this seems redundant, especially because the note that is generated is not detailed and rather more of a summary.

See who was notified in Notes
We need to see who we notified when a note is created and sent to another user. We have no way to verify when we notify someone of important actions or information pertaining to a contact. This can can cause mistrust and frustration from clients when things don't get done. This can also create internal issues when you know you checked a button to notify someone but they say they did not receive an email. This seems a very simple feature to add in Notes.

Searching notes
When searching Notes, the default is automatically to have everything checked including activities. I would like the ability to set a default when doing the search to only search the actual notes, not activities, emails sent etc.

When commenting on a note, the button to finish should say "SAVE COMMENT"
An advisor typed a detailed comment to a note to update it. He clicked on "CLOSE" thinking he was finished. The comment was lost. I showed the person how, just above it, he needed to click on the button that currently says "COMMENT" only. It would be much clearer if the button more clearly said, "SAVE COMMENT."

Condense the notes that accumulate under individual contacts. For instance, every time an activity is completed, a new note is made that takes up space. It then takes time to scroll down through the archived notes when one is looking for something specific. We manually are having to delete all of these "completed activity" notes. It would be preferable if these were condensed and didn't take up so much visual real estate space cluttering up archived notes. Maybe they could even be set to auto delete after 30 days.

-It's difficult to add large emails or notes into the text box and then make modifications as the actual text box itself is very small.
-Email chains can be very long, so we modify them to reduce the length of each note so we can find the information later on much faster. Sometimes i do this by going through the note and deleting my personal email signature. But it can very tedious and time consuming (frustrating) when i can only see a tiny portion of the text i just copied over.

NOTES- ABILITY TO HAVE A NOTES BLOCK IN WORKFLOWS THAT CAN BE DATA MINED WHEN RUNNING NOTES REPORT
Would like notes in workflows to be searchable from a report. Designatge a main note block at top of Workflow that exports and would be searchable. This would enable you to not have to double document when completing workflow steps. Especially useful with transnational type work flows.

Have categories for notes, so you when add notes, you can put it in a category.
Have categories for notes. So when you do a note, you can click on the category it should go in. So when you look for notes under a client, they aren't all just there, but can be categorized for notes that were in regards to say: emails: meetings: phone calls etc etc

notes filter - It makes sense to exclude emails from notes since RedTail already has an option to see all emails. This will make it easier for you to see important notes more easily. Especially if you are using an email marketing service; that makes it so time-consuming to scroll through pages of notes to find what you need.

I would like to be able to pull a Report on the "Update Important Information" box at the top right that becomes a Red Exclamation point when a note is added. Is this possible?

Random Notes in One Place
On the homepage, create a place that has just one blank page or blank pages with tabs (kind of like Microsoft One Notes) where you can just put random notes to type whatever with just a click of a button.
This is good when you are on a call with a client and let's say they wanted the email address for TD Ameritrade's customer service and Fidelity... You have that info on one page so it's easily accessible.
This would be quicker than having to look up TD Ameritrade, then Fidelity, it can be slow to upload... so One Page…6 votes -

If there is a spouse set up on the client record, when you add a new note having it automatically linked to the spouse would save a step of manually adding them.
