- Quicklists to sort by Seminar Attendee Status
Be able to include seminar attendee status in a quick list and/or tag group search.
For example, we like to send out broadcast emails severel times before a seminar/webinar but we don't want to send that same invite to someone who has already signed up to attend the seminar. We have no way to exclude those individuals in the next broadcast email w/o a lot of manual work.6 votes -
Operand for "Contains"
When doing an Advanced Search the operand "Contains" would include any field that contains the word you are looking for, even if there is other items/words in that field.

UDF
It would be great if we could do advanced searches by specific UDFs and then create a quick list from that search. This would be so beneficial to our firm.

Lock the tag groups so no one can delete tag groups on the shared database.
I lost 500 contacts over 4 months of individually placing these people into tag groups just because one person deleted the tag group in my office.

Search for nearby clients list or map view
Ex: Agent has to drive 1 hour away for an appointment that will only take 10-15 minutes and would like to make better use of his time, Redtail should have a function that allows Agent to see other clients in that area so that he can attempt to schedule multiple appointments in the same area easily. Now he is able to meet a client for his annual review meeting on his way back rather than driving all the way back out there in 2 weeks"
It would be nice if Redtail had a way to find other clients that live…

Add Primary Phone & Primary Email to Advanced Search
I am looking for clients with a phone number but not a primary phone number and an email address but no primary email address. I was able to do this with address. I thought this option was under primary contact till I realized that was a different field altogether.

UDFs should be able to be used in the advanced search feature.
It would be really helpful if we could use UDFs in the advanced search feature, allowing us to filter by more than one report. We need to be able to search by advisor AND specific UDFs. This would make UDFs much more useful, especially for RMDs.

When linking a contact, let us search BOTH the first AND last name
When you are linking contacts to an activity, in a note, etc, RedTail should let us search using both the first and last name as currently it only let's us use one or the other. It's extremely time consuming when you're looking up for example John Smith, where we have 100 Smith's and a 100 John's.

alphabetize information in any column from within a searched list
in the old version of redtail, i could alphabetize any column from within a list, simply by clicking on the header/title at the top of that column. similar to an excel spread sheet. that feature is now gone in the new version of redtail. very frustrating considering we used that feature a lot in hand selecting contacts for a campaign. yes i know we can use filters to narrow down a list. yes i know that i can search by status or by catergory. i dont want to see a small list. i want to see the entire list and…

Advanced Search
In the "advanced Search" filters, it would be most user friendly to include the ability to add parentheses around logical connectives to more intuitively command the account information. I'll give an example:
I stratify clients into tag groups A Clients, B Clients, C Clients, and D Clients. There are several without any tag group, and I'm looking for a list of current clients not in Qualified Plans status, who don't have one of these tags. The Logical operand is easiest explained as:
( Contact-Status-Equal To-Client AND Contact-Category-Not Equal To- Qualified Plan ) AND( Tag Group-Tag-not equal to A-Client AND Tag…

The "begins with" feature of the database search does not work.
The "begins with" feature of the database search does not work. For ex: I have several Client Status' that begin with "Client", such as, Client, Client-Spouse, Client-Child, etc. When I request Status begins with Client, Redtail only returns "Client" and not the other categories that begin with Client.
