  1. Family Report

    When running a Family report you can only do it on one client. Please consider a way to run a family report on all clients at the same time so you do not have to go to each client one by one to run the report. We would like to have one report that lists all family members for each client. When running a membership report some children do not have the same last name as their parents so they are not listed with the parent they are some where else on the report according to their name.   3. Add the Automation Condition field - Created By

    Please add the Created By field for the automation condition.

    This way I can create a template for permissions that says to assign a certain permission to a Contact/Note/Activity if it was created by a specific user.

    This would completely automate all of the permissions in my database for the 20+ users we have.

    Also please add the action for when notes are created.

  4. custom export udf

    Now custom export has the ability to export the UDF's, however if you have the same UDF in the same contact profile (or account profile) it will only export one of those. We, due to lack of a commissions/fee tracking module, use the same UDF's multiple times. Would be helpful to have all instances of the UDF exported in the custom export for reporting.

  5. Workflows should indicate who started them - similarly to Activities

    If I am assigned a workflow and have questions on it, I have to go around and ask who started it. If RedTail indicated who started the workflow like they do for activities, I would be able to go right to the source.

  8. Workflow automation to create Activities

    The ability for the Workflow steps to automatically create Activities that can be assigned to specific users/teams. Also, the next step in the Workflow would not start until all of the assigned activities in the previous step are completed.

    The way that we see Workflows is that they are the "big picture" step-by-step guide & the individual Activities ("Tasks") are the place for the instructions & notes of that particular step.

    This would also alleviate the head ache of having to check your Activities list & your Workflows each day & in the past.

  10. activity notification on start date

    How can we receive email notification on the start date of an activity? (i.e. the day that an activity has been scheduled to happen)
    We currently receive email notifications when an activity is assigned and when it has been completed but never on the day that it is supposed to happen. How can we set that up?

  11. Creating an Activity Should Send ONE Notification

    When creating an activity... Why does person you are assigning it to receives more than one email notification on the activity? You need to click on edit to add the location and notes, therefore I didn't save the activity so the email shouldn't be sent. If I didn't "Save" it I'm not done creating it.

  12. there is not an option to add an Employer for a new contact via the mobile app.

    I enjoy RedTail, but would love to have more options via IPad so i can work confidently anywhere. Currently there is not an option to add an Employer for a contact via the mobile app when you are adding someone new. Often you meet someone in the field and you have an ipad with you. Can we consider this?

  13. Contact Options - Reports

    Hello. Please make a change to allow the Reports under Contact Options to be customized. It would be fantastic if we could custom select which fields we want to include in these reports. Thanks for your consideration.

  14. Automation that would Trigger Roles being Populated upon Adding Servicing Advisor

    Upon entering a Servicing Advisor/Writing Advisor in contact record, RT would automatically populate the Roles field (of the 3 individuals for that Servicing/Writing Advisor's team). It is double work now to enter Servicing Advisor/Writing Advisor, then go in and manually complete the Roles fields for every new client record entered.

    We need a way to save files and track files at various stages of completion within Redtail.

    *Original Docs - blank docs, per document/form required to create one complete application package
    *Unsigned Docs - client details filled out, per document/form required to create one complete application package
    *Client-Signed Docs - client-signed version of full application package or per document showing signatures, initials, and any corrections made by client to application content

  16. portfolio summary

    1. Add the ability to sort Portfolio reports by type of account (e.g., Insurance v. Investments)
    2. Add Death Benefit and Cash Value instead of "Balance"
    3. Insert a page break as needed so that an account information doesn't get split between two pages.

  18. workflow automation

    Automation options exist currently to start up a workflow upon certain triggers (ie. a certain status created/updated). It would be nice if the criteria could identify more complex (if/then) updates to narrow down specific changes to trigger additional workflows (ie. status update from "comprehensive client" to "tax client" triggers a particular workflow vs any contact status update to "inactive" triggers another workflow).

  20. Action Send Email to Client

    Add an automation feature where once a step is completed, a pre-written email is sent to our clients (not us) with follow up information.
