indicate the client's time zone on the contact page and in activities
When speaking with clients to schedule meetings we need to know what their time zone is. If they are out of our area we need to be able to tell them the schedule in their time zone (and what that means in # of hours difference) so we can provide better service. It should also show on the calendar when we do have an activity scheduled for that client so, again, we can be precise and helpful. Our calendar preferences would be the default time zone so that Redtail can calculate the number of hours difference for us.

Adding a time zone field in the contact screen would be most helpful. When speaking to clients and offering meeting times, it would be helpful. Seems like it could even auto populate from a contact's zip code.

I agree. Something is needed here. Perhaps similar to the new banner on the day of the client's birthday or if the client is deceased, there could be a banner that shows up on the contact record if they are in a time zone different than the one the users viewing them is in.
If this feature can be associated with addresses, there should also be a manual option where we can control it within our databases. We have clients with businesses in multiple states sending their mail to one P.O Box address which may not be in the same time zone as the business. We also have folks that have seasonal addresses different than their normal time zone. The banner on the screen should state which time zone it thinks the contact is in and what time it is relative to your time (ie: XYZ business is on ET, one hour ahead of you, currently 1pm). If you know this business is on the west coast but mail goes to the east coast you can update and select the correct zone.

Would be great to have a time zone field associated with each address (even better if it automatically calculated based on the address), and next to the address on the Contact Card it would display the client's local time if it differs from ours.

A box added to the Contact Overview page, Contact Card Section, right above the phone numbers that reflects the contact's time zone would be extremely helpful. That way, BEFORE we call and schedule the appointment we can make sure we are confirming the appropriate time.
There should be an option to update this in bulk since most of our clients are in our time zone which a small percentage being outliers. Perhaps if a contact time zone is different than the user's time zone set in their preferences, the contact time zone is bold or a different color to stand out.

I wish I could see when a client is in a different timezone without having to look at their address. Being that I'm on the east coast it's awful when I mistakenly call a client on the west coast. I think a small icon next to their name would do the trick.

Our clients are spread across the nation, I think a feature added in the Contact Card section, indicating current time based on their mailing address would be an amazing tool!
Perhaps we could even have reports based on time zones, so you can plan calls more efficiently.
