  1. Password Renewal Process needs to carry over current password if saved so new password creation is faster.

    The password management schema needs help. Here are a couple of suggestions:


    1. Carry over existing password from primary login page to new password page. This would ease the password reset tremendously.


    2. Revamp Password reset using Symantec VIP or some other 2 factor authentication that won't emphasize the primary password as the security control.

  2. Admin compliance issue

    Apparenly, any person designated as an admin can make any other user an admin, or remove admin from any other user. This is a conflict with our cybersecurity policy. This should be only available to a master admin or account owner. Since your platform only has two levels of security (something I have not seen on any other platform; they all have multiple levels), this is a potential security problem, as well as a non-compliance issue. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

  3. A "Disable User" option should also be available for "External Users"

    If you have an External User and no longer want them to have access to that database there should be an option to "Disable" that user rather than delete that External Users. If you can only "Delete" the external user you loose all the History. If you don't delete them it gives access to the database you no longer want people to access. This is an issue. It also forces you to pay for additional users if you can't "Disable" them.

  4. Limit what a user can view

    Limit what users can view, such as not allowing them to view sensitive information like SSN, Account numbers and values, etc.

  5. Filtering Reminders

    Right now you can only view all reminders or view one specific type of reminder at a time. It would be great if people could filter out the type of reminders they don't want to look at but still be able to see all the other kinds. For example, they could set it to view all the reminders except Birthdays and Anniversaries, or to view Workflow, Client Review, and Account Renewal reminders but nothing else. And make the setting savable so you don't have to change settings every time you look at reminders.

  6. Deleting Tag Groups Should Be an Admin Function

    The ability to delete a Tag Group should be an administrative function. Users currently have the ability to delete an entire tag group for our entire database.

  7. In today's reminders under client reviews.

    In today's reminders under client reviews. It continues to show prior appointments that have been completed. Don't mind if the reminder remains because the activity has not been completed but once it has been completed, I would like the reminder to drop off.

  8. Add more shortcuts to top of CRM (next to Quick add and Recently Viewed)

    It would be helpful to have more shortcuts at the top of the CRM next to Quick Add and Recently Viewed, etc. For example: Advanced Search shortcut, Memberships shortcut, etc. Could even make it an customizable option for each user to choose what they wish to see at the top of their screen.

  9. Logon Credit Card Expiration Notification

    Logon Credit Card Expiration Notification
    Remind me in "x" days so the notification doesn't appear at every logon until the time that an updated credit card number is received.

  10. Option to collapse or close unnecessary windows

    We understand that RedTail tailors to a wide variety of financial profession, and as such there are many options for data recording and entry. Please give us the option to either collapse, hide, minimize, or close windows that do not apply to our needs. For example: we are not a brokerage firm yet we have five HUGE windows on our client accounts page that take up TOO much room and make it difficult to navigate the page to find the information we actually need.

  11. Contact Categories Specific to a Contact Status

    Be able to create a contact category that only generates when a certain status is selected.... Instead of having a huge drop down list of every category known to man, let the admin create what categories are to be selected depending on the status that is selected.
    Example: Status selected is "prospect" then "category" choices would be a limited list of what the admin created instead of a giant dropdown list 100 categories.

  12. Directory of Users

    Would be nice for larger offices especially multiple locations to be able to generate a directory of the Redtail users - so we can identify what location a team member works out of - direct contact info etc.

    If we need to create a business profile for our company (that owns the database) it would be nice to have this function as well. be able to list an employee and specify they do not work out of our main office location, their role etc.

  14. Account UDFs Group Packages

    For certain types of accounts (Variable Annuity, IRAs, Managed Accounts, etc.) it would really help administratively if you could select a certain Account UDF package.

    This could be designed by the admin on the account, and whenever a new account is added for data entry, the admin assistant could select the proper group package for ALL appropriate UDFs to be loaded into the type of the account.

    This would help the users to make sure the appropriate information is being added to the accounts so that when it comes time to service the client account, the information needed should be…

  15. User Privileges & Rights

    I would like to know if you would consider additional settings for different types of users. We used to have this on our ACT database. For example, we have the need to give someone access to add notes only and not be able to edit other data, delete data, nor be able to schedule or edit appointments. The more choices the better in terms of deciding a particular user's role within the CRM.

  16. Assign Roles to Specific Teams | Advisor, Assoc. Advisor and (CSA) Client Service Associate of Team

    Right we have the ability to change the Roles in bulk for clients, but being able to add a prefixed option for a team on who should be the Advisor, Associate Advisor or CSA would be so nice.

    So when you add team permissions to a client it automatically adds in the preassigned roles to the users.

    The ability to have multiple CSA's on a client would also be preferred, but not a necessity.

  17. administrator access

    We want to allow only one admin authorization to input contact info, but allow others to imput notes if necessary. There needs to be permissions for one person admin access to maintain the system. We have to many hands in the pot to properly maintain the information in the system.

  18. Add the ability to add users to a team from the USER side vs team by team

    When adding a user, it would be great if you could then select all the teams that the one user is a part of versus the current way of going into each team one by one and adding the same user.

    It would also go along to say that from the user side you could easily see all the teams the user is a part of.

  19. Hashtag

    I would appreciate a way to tag a note, activity, contact, or any other database item and be able to search for those tags. Hashtags or a similar method would go a long way in being able to search for a wide variety of items in the database.

  20. Contacts - Colorize:- Make primary - Black, Dependents - Green, Bus relationships - Blue

    A better way to find primary contact and their relationships.
    "Contacts - Colorize:- Make primary - Black, Dependents - Green, Bus relationships - Blue" So when adding notes you do not need to go to main client search when you have a client with a name sake.
