Option to choose privacy for activities when creating them
Notes let you choose the privacy options while creating. It would be nice to have that feature when creating activities.

Under Filter Dates tab in Activities
Want to save as default (maybe through Settings), to always have "Past Due and Today" appear. When logging in each time, have to reset it.

When "Save, Complete, and New" Activities, display calendar
When marking a task completing and adding new, related follow up Activities:
1) you can't see what your calendar is to properly schedule the new Activity. If the "related new Activity" might be time-block, phone call, etc., you have to blindly schedule the day/time
2) When you click "Save, Complete, and New", you can only add 1 more related Activity; there should be the ability to add as many as you'd like: follow up calls, tasks, time blocking, new meetings,

Limboed Activities / To-do List
Create a separate window / list where activities that are in limbo can be dragged to, and then dragged back into the calendar when needed. I'd think of it as a to-do list. Make it so that the activities can be sorted by type and date.

I would like activity update in real time please
If two or more people are within a activity at the same given time entering notes and one person saves and then the next person saves it deletes the person who had entered their notes and saved them. The other persons notes remain.

Activity - "Waiting for" field
Activities are often delayed when waiting for a response or action to be completed by a non-Redtail user. I would like a "Waiting for" field that displays as part of the activity list to indicate why an activity isn't being completed.
I currently do this as part of the Activity description, but I have to remember to delete that part prior to completing the activity so it doesn't become part of the permanent Note title.

stop using terms like "All day Wednesday" in tasks and give me the date instead that the task is due

Link more than one contact when creating activities
When first creating activities from the "+" sign you are only able to link one contact. You can link others once you select create and edit. Being able to link an additional contact would be efficient as you wouldn't have to go into the actual activity itself!

activity completion timeline
I would like to be able to run a report that would show me the timeline for how long it has taken for when a task was first assigned and then ultimately completed. For example, if opening a new account was assigned on 1/4/2021, and the action to actually start that process begins on 1/15/2021, so the account ultimately gets opened on 1/31/2021. It would be helpful to be able to run this report by client as well as by Attendee/ as well as by Writing Advisor.

Recurring Activities Options
When it comes to recurring activity options, it would be very helpful to have the added option of "Business Day" so that you could choose the 1st Business Day each month or the Last Business Day of each month, for example.

Telephone support and user feedback
Does Redtail REALLY want feed back? Then have your telephone support representatives input the suggestions we make during our calls. I don't know why software companies insist that the user take their time to search through hundreds of previously submitted suggestions in order to make or vote for a suggestion. This approach is archaic and may have worked back in the day when your users were computer techs offering tech recommendations. But today the vast majority of your users are financial professionals like myself.

Next available appointment feature
Next available appointment feature. Many of our advisors have consistent times when they meet with their clients (10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm). When scheduling, it would be very helpful to have a notification of the next available appointment rather than manually going through each and every week.

Allow activity template categories as an easier way to organize our seemingly endless list of activity templates. Maybe allow them to be categorized by department or team

color options for different activity types... we would like to suggest adding in patterns
There is a wide variety of color options for color coding different activity types... we want to request that additional options be added. Perhaps different patterns or metallic colors. Even further separating the many different staff and activities they partake in. We have 6 reps and each rep has category for task and personal and appointments. It becomes quite hard to differentiate them all. More Color options would help.

Activity Edits/Formatting
I accidently saw an expanded version of activity formatting options when there was a glitch and now we want the options!
It would be great to have options to add pictures, different bullet points, printing options before saving the activity, highlighting, and colored font options -- all similar things that you can find in word.16 votes -
Tasks in Redtail
Would love an easier way to assign tasks to our team members. It's annoying to have to add tasks as an activity, then it just adds more to the calendar than is needed.
