BCC email archive for client email history
Redtail should capture emails sent 'BCC' from Outlook in the client email history. Currently, it only captures for the archive if it is sent in the 'To' box. But to protect client emails we use the BCC feature. We have migrated to sending blast emails this way because of the lack of functionality in the Broadcast Emails.

Linking and emails
It would be nice to have the emails also show up in the notes section so you do not have to jump back in forth from the email section to the notes section in a Redtail contact page when reviewing a clients data. Also, it would be nice to be able to link notes you have already written (existing notes) to activities and opportunities while you are in the activity or opportunity. You can link them from going to the notes and creating a follow up, but you can't pull up existing notes when in an activity or opportunity. And…

Schedule or Send Email Later Option
When we are working with email templates I would like see to the option to schedule when the email is sent. You can only send it immediately. A send later option would be good if we are working on an evening, weekend or would prefer if a client receives the email at a certain time.

Create activity from an email
Can you give us a little box at the bottom of the email window that would allow us to create an activity automatically from the email we're sending?

Have a ##Greeting## email merge field to address a couple or individual appropriately
We suggest adding a place in the clients' basic info for a greeting and a corresponding ##Greeting## email merge field to allow both spouses' names or the individuals' name as you wish it to appear in emails.
We would like to send an email with a like "Hi John and Jane" or if the person is single "Hi John"
With current options you can only put in ##Firstname## and ##SpouseFirstname## or ##Familyname##. There should be more features in the Redtail email template such as fonts and colors as in outlook,
It would be helpful to include similar fonts, type, colors and features in the Redtail email to match the features in outlook.

Create functionality so that an email received by another contact in the database could be linked to a different contact.
Create a way to link an email from one contact in the database to another. I.e. I have an insurance specialist who sends quotes and emails about my clients. I want to be able to link HIS email to THEIR record for easy reference.

Attaching an email to a client record (without the client email address included)
The ability to attach an email to a client record (for which the client is not part of the thread) would be extremely helpful, instead of copying and pasting into notes.

Link Emails to various contacts
I need the ability to link an outgoing email to multiple contacts and/or opportunities and accounts. I am often emailing an insurance company regarding a client's policy (account). The email doesn't connect to the client because the email is not being sent to them, but it may involve that contact, account or opportunity and need to be recorded in those places.

Confidential Emails
Please provide a filter option to remove or hide emails to or from any domain at this time. For example, if a user is sending a confidential email - the correspondence will be hidden from everyone else but the sender.

Manually link an e-mail to multiple contacts
We need the ability to manually link an e-mail to multiple contacts. For example, if I receive an e-mail from a vendor, it is automatically linked to that vendor's contact record, but I also would like to be able to link it to the client record that the e-mail is talking about.

Allow an image to be pasted into an email directly
At this time graphs/charts in an email have to be presented as a URL or an attachment. Would be nice to be able to clip and paste the graphic directly into the email body.

email journaling
Our former CRM system Wealthbox allowed us to seamlessly journal emails from microsoft office once they connected. How come Redtail cant? Why is it so difficult to connect microsoft office? We would gladly pay to have it easier.

the ability to manually link emails to unrelated records in archive email history in database.
save an email to a clients contacts that the clients email is not part of. basically if a client is not in the email correspondence at all can we save the that set of emails to the clients contact record. no email headers match up with contact records based on a matching email address.

sync redtail hosted calendar and contacts
This suggestion was closed as completed, but nobody in support seems to know how to sync redtail hosted email/calendar/contacts with tailwag.

Why doesn't redtail connect work directly with redtail hosted email/calendars? It's really cumbersome to have to set up an additional microsoft 365 email to use redtail connect. email archiving - filter
One of the primary needs that Email Archiving serves in the CRM is to enabling us to better monitor and act on emails between (a) our staff and (b) our clients/prospective clients. Unfortunately, there is no functionality to enable filtering or permissioning, which creates two significant issues.
First, emails that are confidential or sensitive cannot be screened from being viewed by all staff. For example, partners' emails about employee compensation and firm tax returns cannot be basically public information. If 100% of all emails are viewable by all staff, email archiving is not usable.

Have the ability to attach an email to another contact besides the contact that the email is sent to.
If I send an email to a company in reference to a client, the email is archived under the company. I need the ability to manually attach the email to the client also, so that the email will show up under the client. What I have to do now is create an activity, link it to both the company and the client, and copy the email to the activity - so it will show up in the notes of both the company and the client.

Email > Archive > Supervision/Compliance screens
Wearing my Chief Compliance Officer hat for a moment: please add Chief Compliance Officer - level screens that comply with SEC supervision requirements (x% sample, keyword flags, etc). We currently pay ERADO for those screens, but I would much rather pay RedTail and have one less place to log in. :)

Add additional fonts in broadcast emails
We would like to have a larger selection of fonts available for broadcast emails. A "signature" style font would be very helpful

EMAIL archive needs to be in real time to serve sales team not just service team
the email history needs to be in real time rather than 24 hour delay.... a delay like this is fine if you have already earned the account, just coasting, where my customer service person or myself might be leisurely floating though the accounts seeing who we can bless today but in a firefight, with another firm, trying to earn the account, the sales team needs to know closer to real time what was said and by who in email. Notes are in real time and no one questions why thats important so seriously, lets get this email archive current so…
