We would like to be able to customize the columns on opportunity reports (add/delete)
Currently, the in place columns are not customization and only include a portion of the identifiers. We would like to be able to customize these columns to show additional identifier (ex. Projected Revenue, etc..)

Source from Opportunity should link to Source on Contact Record
After an Opportunity is marked as "Closed," it would be great if the Source from that Opportunity transferred to/updated the Source on the client's contact record.

Allow for updating next step and close date in the Opportunity List view
It can be time consuming to update the list if I have to click into each one to update. It would be great to be able to update at least the next step and close date from the list view of all the opportunities.

add opportunity tracking to seminar management
Opportunity tracking built into seminar management, or even the ability to link an opportunity in the opportunity tracker to a specific seminar would be extremely useful and powerful in tracking efforts within our existing client base.

opportunity referral tracking
An opportunity should have a field that is Referral and that referral should be able to be a linkable back to a contact. At the very least, the opportunity should have a fillable text box for a referral like a contac currently has. I carry around printed opportunity lists as they are my lifeblood as a sales person. It' would be very helpful to know who referred me to that opportunity.

recurring opportunity
Option to create a "Recurring Opportunity". This would be helpful for IRA/Roth annual contributions. Or any account that a client is adding an amount to on a periodic basis. Right now, I have a recurring "Task" but I have to create the opportunity each time in order to track it. Recurring Opportunity option would alleviate this double input.

Post completed opportunity to Contact notes
Once an opportunity is marked as closed won or closed lost add the ability to add the whole opportunity into the clients notes

i.e. shown in notes on date of action.

Change Default Opportunities Date Filter
Currently in Opportunities it defaults to 01/01/20 - 12/31/20. I can change the filter to a longer period, but I have to make that change every time I log in. This is particularly annoying around the end of the year when close dates often extend into the next year. I would like the ability to set the default date filter to a different period.

Opportunities Icon on Client Profile
I have an idea that can help identify New Asset client opportunities easily from their home profile page.
Up on the top right corner of each profile you see the icons for Edit Basic Info, Contact Card, Important Information, Common Tasks. This idea piggybacks on the "Important Information" icon that lights up Red when information is added.
Idea: There needs to be a " $ " Opportunities Icon that lights up Green when there is an opportunity added for a contact.
I know, I know, there is an opportunities tab on the left tool bar that you can click to…

Add a recurring revenue field to opportunities.
Opportunities show "revenue". There should be a field for one time revenue and another for recurring revenue, like 12b-1 or advisory fees.
An extrapolation would be the 10 year value of the opportunity.

Allow "Pushing" Contact From Opportunity into Contacts upon Closed Won
When we close an opportunity, please allow us to push the Name in the opportunity into Contacts if the opportunity is Closed Won. We shouldn't have to create a new contact when we have a contact name in an Opportunity. If that opportunity is won, there should be an option to create a new contact from the name associated with the opportunity.

Option to sync Opportunity Close Date and Target Date/Steps of Workflows
If a workflow is synced to an opportunity, add an option to sync the opportunity date to any step or target date of the workflow.
This could be a checkbox or option on the target date dropdown list ('sync with opportunity close date'). As many workflows are based on new opportunities, but not all, this would allow either the entire workflow, some steps, or none of it to be synced with the opportunity.

More visibility for Opportunities
I would like to see Opportunities on my calendar just like any other task. And/or they could be linked to a task. As it is, Opportunities are hidden unless you specifically go deal with the opportunities as a separate process.

Opportunity Notes in Report
Have Opportunity Notes export with the Opportunity Report output. Notes are a way of tracking relevant narrative about the opportunity, etc.

Sort Opportunities
It would be nice to sort opportunities by projected revenue instead of $ amount. If I add an opportunity to charge for a plan, there is no way to sort this because there is no securities involved.

Link opportunities to the calendar. Particularly link close dates.
When creating an opportunity, link the close date for the particular opportunity to your calendar. It prevents adding another step and makes using the Opportunity function seamless.
