browser tabs
I like to open multiple browser tabs (firefox) in Redtail for clients/contacts I want to work on. Each tab currently says "redtail" and often I will have to click each one to show what contact it represents. It would be super helpful if these tabs showed the contacts last name instead of redtail.

Add more Retriever Cloud Contact Phone number mappings
Currently only Home/Work/Mobile will map to Retriever Cloud. Please add other options like Direct Dial, Fax, Other, etc.

View Contacts A-Z via Family Name instead of Individual Contact Name
Contact A-Z page would be by Family name i.e. "John & Jane Smith" or "Thomas Brown and Jessica Kent"
This would be especially helpful for the phone app you are unable to see spousal relationships.
The Family name could still link to the family page where each family member's contact is.7 votes -

Add a banner for contacts who have closed their accounts
This would work just like the date of death field in Contact Details and the corresponding red banner when the contact is opened. Add a field under Contact Details for 'Closed Account' where the input is the date that the relationship is closed. Once this field is filled in, a banner would appear at the top of the contact screen (just like for deceased clients) that shows the client closed their accounts and the date. Maybe use another color banner instead of the red banner for deceased clients.

Please provide integration/syncing with CellTrust
CellTrust is an application allowing financial services professionals to text with clients in a compliant manner. It would be extremely helpful if Retail and CellTrust could sync instead of having to manually enter clients in the CellTrust app.

"Important Information" should be viewable without a click
I would like to be able to hover over "Important Information" rather than clicking it, to view the text - or perhaps just have the text listed under the icon if there is text there

Add a UDF or text box to Contact Card
Being able to add either a text box or a UDF to the Contact Card would allow the mobile app to see that data ie: username & password.

Creating a contact for the employer field should be an option, not automatic.
This idea was originally posted in 2015 and again in 2017. I want to bring it back up. Having a new contact created when Employer field is used is not helpful for most. If we want to track a company due to the amount of clients, we use keywords or tag groups. This data makes the database messy, especially when you have multiple people entering and one person abbreviates and the other doesn't. We put the employer information in with the Job Title just so it doesn't create an additional contact. That is our current work around.

firm level admin
There should be a way to have the management team, compliance, etc to be able to view all records in Redtail without having to create a team. Teams are great for advisor level restrictions, but it makes no sense for management or compliance to have to be given permissions to view clients.

Client Record/Personal Info Automation
It would be helpful if Redtail had the capability to send out a link via email to a new contact for them to type in their basic info and have it automatically integrated/inputted to update that client's Redtail contact record or create a new one. It would automate the process of obtaining info such as full name, DOB, SSN, address, gender, phone number, email, marital status, employer, financial info (net worth, bank info), beneficiaries, etc.
I am thinking that we can send a link to a contact, they open the link, type in all of the info, submit it, and…

Contact Photo is Too Small
When using the mobile app to access contact info, it would be nice if there were a way to view the contact's photo bigger. Right now, touching a contact's photo in the mobile app brings up only two options: to either "Take Photo" or "Choose From Library." There should be a 3rd option: "View Photo." As it is, the photo is so small that it's barely visible and, therefore, not helpful when trying to remember what someone looks like.

Ability to make certain contacts important information popup a window when you open contact
In Ebix SmartOffice when we had something in the important information field it would popup automatically for us to read when we entered the contact record. That may be overkill for much of what we save there but there are certain ones that would be nice to able to have it pop up

I would really like to see a snowbird address option to automatically change addresses on certain days of the year.

UDF's in Advanced Search
Please allow User Defined Fields (UDF's) to be used in Advanced Search.
We need this for basic compliance review of client agreements (we have multiple service agreements, so one "client since" field does not work). Plus tracking of client meeting UDF's.20 votes -

The local time feature is helpful, but does not appear on our Canadian Contacts.

App/Connector for Microsoft Teams
An app or connector for Microsoft Teams. We use Teams for our phone system. Would be nice it would automatically look up client and pull the record up in teams. Also just having access to contacts in Teams app would be very convenient.

Previous Employer Data Archived
It would be nice to have a place to store Previous Employer Data for a client - company name, title, Admins, etc. Possibly an Archived option similar to addresses.

add an "as of date" to estimated net worth- this changes!!!
either add ability to type it after the value-currently only able to enter numbers or have an as of button.
