  1. Add a custom field option in Contact Details

    I would like to be able to designate the "Relationship Manager" or "Lead Support" in the Contact Details section. Now that the important info page is in know your client, I can't see who they are on the front page.

  2. UDF for a dollar amount, so that it adds a "$" every time, and to automatically separate thousands with a comma.

    Add a custom UDF to include a "$", and separate thousands with a comma automatically so you could type:
    10000
    and, once saved, it would automatically update to:
    $10,000

  3. UDF Filter

    I want to search for a UDF I made and then filter out all but one advisor at a time's clients but am not able to. I use UDFs for RMD tracking so it really slows advisors down when I give them the incomplete list and they have to find just their clients (as opposed to the list only being of their client). And no, I don't want to run a custom export just for this.

  4. Add ability to customize more lists on account level

    I find that often different accounts have different objectives and I want to be able to say so in a manner that lines up with what we must select for LPL but cannot edit this particular list (only the one on the overall contact view). Please allow more customization for this and literally every other part of Redtail.

  5. Drop down choices for "Job Title"

    Customize the "job title" field, less confusion for the same job ie: lawyer / attorney. It will make a search for certain job titles easy as well.

  7. customizing columns in accounts overview

    It would be helpful to be able to customize the column heading choices and column widths with one standard setup rather than having to individually customize them with each client.

  8. custom contact type

    We want to track internal projects by creating a contact for each dept and assigning tasks to it and recording notes for our progress on each task. For example, we have created a Contact Category called "Internal Projects", a contact called "Marketing", then we assigned a task called "Business Card Redesign". So when we meet about this item, we record our notes in a meeting assigned to the attendees and the Marketing contact. Then when anyone wants to see what the Marketing dept has been working on, they can lookup the Marketing contact and see everything in one place. The…

  9. custom lables on contact info

    when keying in a new record please allow us to edit the custom label of the phone, email, and address. It does not make sense that you have that feature available but won't allow us to use it as we key a record in. We have to then go to the new record and edit each field. This is very time consuming when entering a large quantity of records.

  10. Holdings Report

    Please provide holding name and holding value for custom exports. I know I can run such a report out of my Morningstar Office program but I am finding some differences in values from Morningstar to Redtail. It would be helpful to be able to run this type of custom export to see where problems may exist.

  11. Custom Account Types

    When updating Account Types in the User Preferences section, we are able to add new account types such as "SAB Managed Account", which are typically brokerage account types.

    The default investment options that are tracked list the account like it is an insurance policy type, with "modal Premium" and "Annual Premium" versus "One Time Investment" and "Regular Investment"

    Is there any way to have functionality to sub-set a brand new Custom Account Type as a brokerage investment account like this versus an insurance policy type account?

  12. Contact

    When clicking on Contacts.... We have a limited number of view options: Name, Status, Category, Source, Type, SrvAdvisor, WrtAdvisor.

    It would be nice to be able to change those preferences as to allow for a quicker view.and customization.

    For example: a UDF Field, a phone number, an email, etc.

  13. Adding new client - Phone

    When adding a new client, the phone section does not allow for the "custom title" to be put in. You have to create the client, then go back in and add the custom titles - extra steps. Please add the "custom title" field to the "new client" add. Thanks.
