Note Category - Ability to select more than one category for a note
We would like the ability to select more than one Category for Notes. It is really common for us to take notes from a client meeting that covered several different topics or Categories. For example, the category might include a category called "Regular Progress Update" and the client might have requested a wire transfer so we would also have a category called "Money Movement" or "Wire Transfer".

Pinned note(s) show first on main Contact Screen Note Box
I would like to see the pinned note(s) staying at the top of the quick view notes section located on the main contact screen. As of now you have to go into the contact and then click on the Notes section to the left to see any pinned notes listed at the top.

When searching text in notes, search comments as well.
When filtering text in notes to find a word or phrase, the text in comments is not searched. Comment text should be searched as well.

Under the Note Actions you can link an existing note to account - why not to an Existing Activity? I frequently need to clean up the data base for continuity and correctness. Linked Notes - Notify User and Copy to Another Contact
It would be very helpful to have the same features in Linked Notes as we do in when adding a regular note - I often need to notify a user of this linked note as well as copy the linked not to another record.

Ability to enter a date for when the note occurred, not just when the note was created
If the note has to be timestamped on the date it was entered, at least add the option to also select when the note occurred.

Run a Notes report with select notes only
Often time we come across a situation where there are a few notes spread over a few months for a client that would be great to condense into one single report to outline the process.
'd love to see the ability to 'check' which notes to include in a report so we can print of a string of notes pertinent to each other and remove the extraneous notes for ease of viewing the progression of a task.

If changes, updates or additions to Activities and Notes could automatically save, or at least ask if you want to save before you move away

Things can get moving very fast at administrative desks, and entering a note while the phone is ringing, or updating an activity while being given other instructions are not rare occurrences, and not having an update to an appointment or note of a transaction stick can cause major malfunctions for office operations. Need to have (at least basic) Formatting of Comments in Notes
It would be awesome to preserve at lest some basic formatting of Comments made to Notes. Comments are a great way to track who does what and at what time. But even a common return/enter to start a new paragraph does not translate when you add a comment to a note. It shows up as one big blob and is difficult to read a longer comment that needs to be made. Full formatting (bold, italicize, bullets, etc.) would be great, but at least we should have the ability to start a new paragraph. Thanks!

Notes
It would be great to be able to see more of the note in the note summary from a Contact's page without having to click on the notes, or maybe have an option or preference setting to select if you want to see the full notes or summaries. Also would be convenient to be able to edit the notes without deleting and starting over

Pin a note at the same time you create it
Pin a note at the same time you create it - I constantly have to create a note, then go back and have to look for it to pin it. I would like to be able to pin a note at the same time i am done.

Need to see new comments to older notes on Todays Overview
For compliance tracking, we need to be able to see any new comments to older notes on Today's Overview and related note reports. We currently have to add a new note for each step of a single process to ensure proper tracking.

link notes to workflow
It would be super helpful if you could link a note to another note (instead of just adding a comment to a note) when a note is related to a previously written note. It would also be super useful to be able to link an existing note to a workflow (or activity or opportunity. I know you can add a new note for activities and opportunities, but I don't believe you can add an existing note). Like, say the Advisor has a conversation with a client about a distribution request and makes a note in redtail about the request. Then…

Should be able to notify more than just one user when imputing a new note
When adding a note, you can only notify one user about that note. Should be able to notify multiple users.
