Contact name should show first for activities
The name of the contact should be the first thing we enter for a new activity. We prefer to use a simple flow:
- Who's it for?
- What's it about?
- Who's owns the activity?
When we open a calendar entry, the first thing that shows up is the Subject when the first thing we want to see is the Contact. Also, when our calendar gets full and appointments are stacked, we don't see names. It would be nice to see the client first from the Add Activity screen through the "More Details" screen for the activity.
Maybe this can be achieved by adding a drag-and-drop feature to re-order the interface, or a permanent update to move the contacts information so it shows first.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

We should be able to personalize what was shown where on the calendar. For example in the subject line you can put who the person is meeting with, and link the contacts to that appointment. not having to type the persons names into the subject line and also linking the contacts. I think there should be a way to print a calendar better. When we print it now, it is TINY and has almost NO information.

When you open the calendar on your phone you only get the activity and have to click on that activity to see who the client is associated with that activity. The apple calendar has the activity and the client name together. This is helpful in that if I am sitting in front of a client and need to schedule an appointment I can see exactly where I am going to be on any given day without having to keep clicking and backing up over several days to figure out where it is that I am going to be. Your calendar is way too time consuming and cumbersome!!! and therefore totally USELESS!!! I cannot understand how Redtail could even begin to think that the way it is set up now can be useful. This has been an issue for years and it never seems to get fixed. Hopefully someone can get back to me on this as I am going to start looking for another company to use if this does not get fixed, thank you, Tim

I would like to see the 'linked contacts' in a more prominent place on the activity page, and bolded so it is easier to spot when opening an activity.

have the appointment list time, attendee, subjectg, in that order...when a half hour appointment is listed, only the time and subject shows on the daily calendar...not the attendee..

Place attendee prior to subject of meeting. The display of half hour appointments only shows the time and subject...but not the most important...the person for whom the meeting is scheduled.....

The contact in which the activity belongs is on the third line right now. However, when the appointment is only half an hour or less, the third line is hidden. The problem would be eliminated putting the contact information on the first line with the time, There is plenty of line space.

some appointments are only set for 15 to 30 minutes. It would be better if the client name appeared first in the activity shown on the calendar instead of the task. Currently in the "week" view, you have to open it or extend the appointment in order to see who it is I am going to see. I would rather see the name and then open it further for details.

Because of the way the "box" is truncated, particularly in the weekly view, I cannot scan the week to see with whom I am meeting, and often cannot hover over contact to obtain the contact information (phone/email). Usability would be much enhanced if you lead with the contact, followed by the activity.
