Zimbra
CRM contact information should be replicated in Zimbra Webmail, and vice versa
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

I would be glad if you could find a way to do this using Google Apps. It seems to me that this solves a lot of sync issues.

Admin responded in February 2014 that you are looking at true integration to Outlook and you will have ideas "in the very near future"...hmm.. does July 2017 fall into the very near future? Are you working on outlook integration outside of retriever or not? I was told at a conference last August and again by support in September that you would have something "in the very near future". Will there be an Outlook integration or not? It's pretty bad you don't have one, it's even worse when you mislead your user community. My B/D's tech folks are loosing faith as well. Very, very frustrating.

Any movement here? This has been noted as planned now for over 2 years!

I hate relying on Outlook for integration... it's buggy, inconvenient and cumbersome.

In addition, it would be amazing if these lists would automatically be added to the safe/trusted/secure email lists, to prevent your filters from catching important emails.

Just received this response:
After discussing with the development team manager, seems like this feature will not be worked on in the near future. This is not to say that it will never be implemented.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,

This is one of many requests for the same thing. Redtail has not even put effort forth to create a useable app let alone reduce the burden of using bug ridden sync applications. It is ridiculous that a 'technology' company cannot accomplish these things over an almost 5 year period. If I worked at Redtail I would be embarrassed.

It is very inefficient to move between your email and crm. If you gould integrate them into one system so that it is more like outlook and you don't have to go back and forth. Also, then you could drag and drop an email into the calendar for a reminder or task. I know you can do this on the redtail webmail but it does not feed into the calendar on the CRM or tasks on CRM.

WOW New TR user and very upset about this....feel like I was sold a bag of goods. Tara wrote "We’re looking at other options! We’ll let you know what new features await you in the very near future!" It is January 2016, nearly 2 years since you wrote this and nothing has changed. My confidence in your company is quickly going down the drain.

I reached out to Companion Link regarding this issue again - they sync with a number of CRM's - some web based (see my earlier comment below). Here is the email and reply, hopefully this gets some traction.

Thank you for asking about this.We have a number of paid projects that have taken priority. We would like to engage Redtail in a development project. Our concern right now is ROI on the resources needed to do the project.
I'll send a letter to Mario today to see where they are with this.

Is there any movement on an integration with redtail? -

We are so tired of waiting for this functionality, now in tail wag we can't sync with iPhones at all. It's been 2 months of no mobile calendar which is unheard of in this day and age. A priority to solve this problem needs to be made

It is really well past time for Redtail to figure out how to integrate CRM and Zimbra email. We should be able to have notifications automatically send an email from CRM to remind us of events. Zimbra should be able to use CRM as its address book. Anything that can remove Microsoft from the equation would be a benefit.

When I add a new contact to my Tailwag CRM with their email address, it would be extremely helpful if the contact name and email were imported automatically as a contact to my Zimbra Redtail Webmail.

My bet is, if this happens, it will be in Tailwag only. Leapfrog users will be SOL.

Unfortunately, I did not ask if the email and CRM had syncing capabilities before we had purchased the email hosting. I thought it was an obvious "yes they do sync" because they are both run by Redtail. I was pretty unhappy once I found out you can't pull contacts, nor the calendar from the CRM to the email. I think this should be stressed to potential buyers. Also, I think redtail needs to fix this issue because the retriever process is confusing and inconvenient. We eventually gave up after an HOUR on the phone with Redtail support and no luck. Please fix this issue.

Is there any update to this issue? Last one was Feb 2014 and noted as planned.

This feature would be a great selling point because then you would no longer have to support Google Apps. You would be the final stop since MAPI can sync across all mobile devices. Use an external email client like outlook for Advisers Desktop/workstation in office.

This really needs to be more direct - no retriever or ZCO. It's too many steps and confusing. When we were hosted by another provider everything was direct and flowed great back and forth. It was hard to convert backwards. It's hard to believe that more advisors don't want/need the direct connection. This is an important technology update.

I'd be happy if you found a way to do this with Google Apps. That to me would seems to solve a lot of issues in terms of sync.
