custom exports add activity category
Please add the Activity Category Fields to the custom exports. When trying to determine a client's last review date, try as I might, I cannot find an adequate reporting option in Redtail. The "Know Your Client" first review date and frequency data is only as good as a client's "perfect attendance right on schedule." Any variation and it no longer provides the data needed.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.

I could not agree more!! This would change EVERYTHING for me from a reporting standpoint. This is a big gap that appears seemingly simple to solve for. The custom export is the only option available to pull data from Activities along with anything else in the system. THE PROBLEM, it literally only pulls the activity subject, which is extremely odd to me as this is not a defined field in the CRM. Its a manual entry every time so from a reporting standpoint it is EXTREMELY messy. For companies like ours that like to know on a MONTHLY/QUARTERLY basis how many leads are generated from a particular lead source (Hence Source in the Contact field), How many of those leads where contacted (Keyword), How many of those that where contacted actually completed a face to face meeting (Activity Type/Category, then this would be a MIRACLE solution. Otherwise, its a constant reporting nightmare.
Just adding the activity detail "Category" to your custom export selections would change my life.
Trying to figure out who should be contacted for their next review is my most tedious, time-consuming, and inefficient process. The previous client review activity (in the appointment category) and the frequency (in know your client) should determine the next review. Please add this searchable field to the template list. Thank you!!
The review information on the Know Your Client tab is barely useable or useful. There are much better ways to manage scheduling and tracking of the client reviews.
Please add Activity Type and Activity Category to the field options under the Custom Export Template options under "Activities" This will make the reports searchable. I want to be able to focus on the type - Client Reviews, but not see tasks, or calls, etc.
