email archiving - filter
One of the primary needs that Email Archiving serves in the CRM is to enabling us to better monitor and act on emails between (a) our staff and (b) our clients/prospective clients. Unfortunately, there is no functionality to enable filtering or permissioning, which creates two significant issues.
First, emails that are confidential or sensitive cannot be screened from being viewed by all staff. For example, partners' emails about employee compensation and firm tax returns cannot be basically public information. If 100% of all emails are viewable by all staff, email archiving is not usable.
Secondly, the email feed is also full of spam and other emails that are irrelevant in the CRM. For example, auto-generated emails about people joining zoom meetings, out-of-office replies, etc, simply create clutter and make the CRM less useful.
Where possible (e.g. Reports>Email Reports>Email by Contact, and Today>Emails), it would be very helpful to be able to Filter by Status (i.e. Client) and Category so that emails to/from Vendors and other people can be screened out. Perhaps they can only be viewable by the sender and the firm's Redtail Database Owner.
