Archiving Old Closed Clients
I would like to see the option to archive clients at a specific date. For example, if we have had a client who closed all their account with us and are no longer clients, the ability/option to archive them after 6 years into some type of Redtail Archive storage that would also be easily accessible in case you need to reference any archived accounts.
This would allow for us to sift through the hundreds (if not thousands) of closed out clients our company has had over the last several decades. Would allow for greater organization and clean up.23 votes -
Add annuitization under status of an account
Presently, there is "open", "pending", "under review" and "closed". We would like to see "annuitization" since we will continue to review the account on an annual basis plus they are still our client. Thank you

Have the account screen only display fields that are relevant to the type of account it is . . .
Have the account screen only display fields that are relevant to the type of account it is . . .
For example, don't show fields that pertain to life insurance if it is an investment account and don't show investment account fields if it is a life insurance policy.

Ability to Add Categories/Subjects to Personal Profile Form
It would be really useful in our office if we were able to manually add subcategories/sections to the personal profile form to make it more tailored to our firm. As well as having all information that goes into this form in one location so you do not have to hunt down everything to edit it.

Account UDF
When creating a UDF with the list of values, it would be great to have the ability to create an "other" option with an editable field (even if small limited in characters)

model and manager
In a client's account record, in the Basic Information box, there are fields for "Model" and Manager". Model is listed "before/above" Manager on the screen. When I click on "Edit", the pop-window lists the information with Manager "Before/Above" Model (their positions are switched). Why are the fields switched? Why isn't Model listed "before/above" Manager, as it will be shown once the update is made to the account record?
This is very confusing, because we are using these two fields to record a client's Medicare information. We want to use the "Model" field for the Part A date and the "Manager"…1 vote -
permission account
Add permission to Accounts within a contacts record NOT on the Contact.
Currently permissions are only available for the entire contact record or notes. It would be helpful for compliance if we were able to set permissions on individual Account numbers so the client record can still be viewed by staff, but certain Accounts are only available to the selected team handling those accounts.
To work around this I will currently need to create another contact record to put the specific Account in, but this may create issues down the line.

Accounts should stay visibly linked to activities once completed, just like a note
When we're working on tasks related to specific accounts, we link those accounts to the tasks. Once we complete them, that link is only visible if you click back in to the completed task or go directly to the related account. What we'd like to see is for the linked accounts to show up in the bottom right of the entry, just like they do when you link an account to a note.

Recurring Payouts
Create a way to track if a client is receiving monthly/quarterly/annual payouts from an account with specific information such as date, federal tax withholding, state tax withholding, frequency, etc.

Ability to link in mass Profiles to Redtail Imaging Folder creation
I want to be able to select accounts in mass to add to our Redtail Imaging database and automatically create a folder under their name instead of having to manually enter every clients name in a new folder, and link the folder too.

Option to make fields required when entering accounts
This would be helpful for keeping good account data. We need certain fields completed for tracking and reconciling purposes, but a few advisors in our office ignore them because there are multiple fields that do not apply to our process. So, they just forego the fields we need entirely.

Need Account Renewal dates to update automatically

Effective and Renewal dates should show on the Account list / overview page
All non-investment (insurance) accounts are tracked by their effective and renewal dates, so it would save a LOT of time to see this on the account overview/list page. I spend a lot of time clicking to open the accounts to view the dates when reconciling accounts.

Account Lists
When in Account Lists - If I go in go into an account and make updates, allow me to go back to the list or go next to the next account. Much like if you have a list in quicklists, you can go back to list or go the next or previous.
