I agree 100%. The primary need that Email Archiving serves in the CRM is enabling us to better monitor and act on emails between (a) our staff and (b) our clients/prospective clients.
Where possible (e.g. Reports>Email Reports>Email by Contact, and Today>Emails), it would be very helpful to be able to Filter by Status (i.e. Client) and Category so that emails to/from Vendors and other people can be screened out.

We just turned email archiving on and I'm aghast to find that this functionality is not available. I don't see a work-around and am afraid I'm going to have to cancel the whole thing.
