  1. Ability to add spouse DOB and edit spouse status from the Add Contact screen

    Currently if you want to add a spouse DOB or change them from a Not Specified contact to a Prospect-Spouse, for example, you have to wait until you are done creating the contact and them open the spouse's profile separately to add that information. It would be nice to eliminate this step by allowing that info to be entered at the same time you create the initial contact. The previous version had this capacity and it changed with the new version.

  2. Data import

    We really need to be able to perform data imports on our own, to import data for new clients via an upload file. It is cumbersome to have to enter data by hand or to have to email support whenever we need to enter new client data into Redtail.

  5. spouse

    Add Spouse info on New Individual page

    The only info you can add for Spouse on the new client page is name and job info. Then you have to go into the spouse after saving to add contact details, DOB, SSN etc. It would be great if all that info could be added on one page. And it would be helpful if the servicing and writing, status, category etc would copy over to the spouse.

  6. Entering new contact

    When entering a new client, if you accidentally navigate to a new topic, it would be nice if the system would prompt you to save the contact before moving from the page. I just upgraded to Tailwag yesterday and twice I have been entering contact details, accidentally hit the wrong key, got switched to another section of Redtail and lost all the data I had just typed in.

  7. clone a contact

    Please add a cloning option, super helpful for entering spouses plus we have two departments who keep separate records so for a husband-wife we have to enter the SAME info FOUR times!

  8. different contact types

    It would be really helpful to have a couple more categories to choose from when you add a new contact. Individual, business, association, trust, or union, don't really apply to a few of the contacts (which are insurance, annuity companies, etc., in this case). We can't categorize them as businesses because we already have a group of contacts labeled as this for a different reason. It would be awesome to have a "company" option to choose from as well.

  9. Set Roles when Creating new Contact

    When adding a new contact, we can set the permissions (which is a great addition, thank you!) but you can't set the roles without going into the contact page. It would be useful to be able to set the roles there in the create screen because we have workflows that automate when a new contact is added. Right now they default to one person, because if the workflow automates and the roles aren't set, it assigns to no one. If the roles are set in the contact creation screen the the workflow could be assigned to the appropriate person based…

  10. Contact Entry: Default Type = Home

    it would be helpful if the Type drop down boxes (Address, Phone, Email) all defaulted to Home, rather than blank as it is now.

  11. adding contacts

    A data base is only as good as the data entered. We have multiple users and it would be extremely helpful if I could limit who adds contacts to the data base.Also, limit who can add to the source list, type list etc. In other words, be able to limit a user's access to the data in the data base, be able to add notes and activities on the calendar.

  12. Add optional gold background color where contact name is

    The reason for this is to know who has everything with us at a glance. We did this at Wells Fargo, US bank and Bank of the West to know top tier clients. This would be a powerful simple add on.

  13. data entry

    When adding a contact's spouse, please make it match what the other spouse's contact status and category. Or at least let us data enter that info at the stage. This causes a lot of "not specified" contacts.

    Also, when you add an employer that is not already in the database, it makes the status "not specified". Can this be changed to "Business" instead. Then we can change it later as needed.

  15. Copy Roles selection to the Spouse in a new contact

    Now that you can select Roles in the Contact Add Screen, could the system copy those Roles to the spouses record, if they are also setup in the same screen? I noticed that Permissions copy over, but the Roles did not.

  16. Freeze the Name/status/category/source/type heading in contacts

    when you start scrolling you can no longer see contact options, or the headings for Name/status/category/source/type

    entire left side of the options should open DIRECTLY instead of having to close and re open each box individually the initial iinput should be a simple one time task

  19. Client's Assistant Contact Info

    Under the Contact Card within the Individual Client Page there should be a category called "Assistant" where we can add in the contact information of a clients personal assistant or office assistant.

  20. Add Contacts Through Business Page

    I know that you can add a client through the contacts. However, when adding businesses, you have to go out and to the contact portion of the site to add a contact and then link. Can you change it so that I can, within the business, click Add Contact. This can be someone that is already in the system or else a brand new contact.

    Also, when adding a contact to a specific department (within a business), they do not have their own contact page and are unable to be searched from the site.
