  1. Custom Account Types

    When updating Account Types in the User Preferences section, we are able to add new account types such as "SAB Managed Account", which are typically brokerage account types.

    The default investment options that are tracked list the account like it is an insurance policy type, with "modal Premium" and "Annual Premium" versus "One Time Investment" and "Regular Investment"

    Is there any way to have functionality to sub-set a brand new Custom Account Type as a brokerage investment account like this versus an insurance policy type account?

  2. Add the ability to include calendar information in email templates.

    I utilize a template to remind clients of upcoming meetings and it'd be great if the date/time could be automatically included in the email based on what is in my calendar.

  3. Beneficiaries listed under multiple clients

    It would be nice to be able to add a "beneficiary" who might be a client to multiple accounts. We are currently adding this into Important Information, but since the Important Information box hasn't been enhanced to pop up when clicking on the client's name we are hoping that something will change to make this easier for all users.

  4. Report on Assets in a Security

    It would be helpful if we could pull a simple report that shows the dollar value of assets held within each security on an overall basis:
    I.E. of our total AUM there is $557,000 in FFRHX

  5. Account Information all on one screen

    At the top of an account, when you click into it, It would be nice to see all of the information entered in the Edit Account Form up there, like that the account is managed or discretionary, the product, etc.

    Also, on the pull down next to the account numner, it currently has the value, company, and account number. The account type should be added in there so it is clear which account we are navigating to.

  6. Ability to set filters on default search results

    I would love to be able to set filters for my "Search Contacts" so that when I search from the box at the top of the screen, I would see only a specific status (i.e. Client). I would appreciate not having to wade through Closed Clients, Children of Clients, Cold Leads, etc., with the same name every time I search for a client.

  7. Holdings Report

    Please provide holding name and holding value for custom exports. I know I can run such a report out of my Morningstar Office program but I am finding some differences in values from Morningstar to Redtail. It would be helpful to be able to run this type of custom export to see where problems may exist.

  8. custom lables on contact info

    when keying in a new record please allow us to edit the custom label of the phone, email, and address. It does not make sense that you have that feature available but won't allow us to use it as we key a record in. We have to then go to the new record and edit each field. This is very time consuming when entering a large quantity of records.

  9. Allow the option to choose Family Category or Group Category

    A Group Category would be helpful for Simple IRA Companies with many participants, trust accounts, corporations or investment groups with several participants. The membership feature is not easily accessible like the Family Name link and seem more logical for CPA's, attorneys or other professional links to a client.

  11. Filling Account Fields

    When I type in something in an account field like the company and it is exactly like one of my choices on the drop down, consider that my way of selecting the existing drop down option. Like I type in LPL and it still suggests LPL. It wastes time having to select that to clear it so I can see the product type field. Its a little thing but could be a bit smarter.

  12. Review Date Import

    Please add the functionality to import every detail (not just First Review Date as it is currently) of Client Review Dates from a spreadsheet with columns for:

    First Review Date
    Repeats Dropdown Options (never, daily, etc.)
    Repeats every X years
    Repeats yearly on (checkbox yes/no)
    on 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/last
    {Day of Week}
    Each {Month}
    Repeat Ends Dropdown Options

    This import would be much, much more convenient than adding these details one by one manually to each contact.

  13. quick close accounts

    When viewing a contact's accounts there should be an option in the drop down that allows us to close accounts that currently show as open.

  14. More information in account linking - Not Commpleted

    It would be nice to differentiate between account types (product). All I see is a bunch of account numbers, custodian (and clients have same custodian so that's not useful) and one management type. We'd prefer product, registration or ability to pick what we see if there is limited space.

    As it stands, Tailwag only lists the account number when linking to a note, activity, etc. It would be beneficial to provide additional account information when linking these…

  15. Have a demo mode available when using RT account for quick instructions when creating workflows/activity templates/ automation, etc.

    Have a demo mode available to activate in RT that gives pop-up quick instructions when setting up workflows/activity templates/ automation, etc. Kind of like that old Word talking paperclip but not as annoying.

  16. "Linked Contact" should be required field in "Activities"

    "Linked Contact" should be a required item in Activities. Currently, "Subject" is the only required field. We are experiencing problems with meetings being scheduled with no linked contact. Thank you.

  17. Share emails within a team

    It would be nice if all members on a specific team had access to all emails inside a contact from any team member, not just their own emails. Only being able to see your own emails makes it harder for teams to work together and to see all communications to and from a contact.

  18. Know Your Customer Automation

    I would want to be able to automate the Know your Customer data. For example, if I log a note or complete a review activity, I may want it to update "First Review Date" in KYC, so the calendar tracker would align to my actual calls.

  19. user mail merge

    In ACT!, users were tied to their own Redtail contact records, and the user data drove mail merges etc. It would be great if I could launch a mail merge template and Redtail would KNOW that I (the user) am going to sign it, so it would pre-populate my name and title based on my contact record. This was how ACT! did it.

  20. notification

    If an activity is created by user A and assigned to User B. It would be nice if when user B completes the activity user A could be notified via email as if there were an attendee on the email.

    It would be great to have a box selection for this when the creator generates the redtail and assigns it or that be the deault on the activity is created.
