completed date
On activities we should be able to put a completed date in the past.
e.g. If I have a mtg on 5.3.22 but couldnt complete my notes and details until 5.10.22 , the system shows the activity was completed on 5.10.22 and no option to actually list 5.3.22 when the activity was really completed.6 votes -
Activity Pinning
It would be a great resource for activities to be pinned at the top of an activity list. Listing an activity as a high priority with the exclamation point only goes so far. The date does not roll, so if the user doesn't know to update his columns by priority or if it changes, then the activity goes back to the original date. Going thorough and rolling each activity every morning is inefficient. If there was an easy way to PIN a certain activity to the top it would stay at the top of your list no matter what.

Open Activities
When there are multiple pages of activities, and you are on the second page, and work on a specific activity, and close it, it takes you back to page one every time. I wish this would be corrected. It's a time waster. Also, being able to move to the second page from the top of the screen vs. just the bottom would be helpful!

Allow a recurring activity to end after a certain number of times not just on a specific date
I would like to have the option of ending a repeating task/activity after a certain number of occurrences not just on a specific date. For example, if I have an activity to send a payment reminder for a level term premium, I only need to do it 10 or 20 times. It would be easier to just select the Repeat Ends after X number of times instead of On and then having to go in and select a date 20 years out.

Set up different categories for activities
We want to be able to run a separate list to house a specific list of Category types and filter out the others. For example, we have a staff member who has both marketing related tasks and new business related tasks. We want to be able to have her run two separate lists so she can separate out marketing tasks and new business tasks. Only function I see is to sort alphabetically

Add a visual status of tasks on the Activities List
At least add an icon like the exclamation point that means in a holding pattern. A visual status or percentage done on the list of tasks would be nice. Basically, I would like a way to differentiate activities in the list that I am waiting on someone else or some information before proceeding. That way it does not clutter the list of to do's when I am seeing what I need to do.

Allow user to set up a default for any activity "attendees" to be three people, or a team rather than just that one user.
Saves time and remembering to drop down and add attendees for every activity set up by all Redtail users. Better notification process fro both activity actions and addition of new Notes for a contact.

Add a "Team" option when assigning new Tasks/Activities
We'd love it if you could add an option when creating a new task to assign it to a team instead of having to add individuals manually. When we add a new team member we have to go back through hundreds of tasks and manually update them to add the new teammate whereas if we could add a team, they would update automatically when we add a new team member to that team. This would be a HUGE savings of time for our company.

Reports/Activity Reports/Activities by Contact add writing advisor name to show on the export of the report
If I can filter by Writing Advisor, why can't it show on the report I export? When one Servicing Advisor is working for 3 different Writing Advisors, we need to see which clients are assigned to which Writing Advisor.

Completing an Activity with Multiple Users
We like to assign office activities to multiple users (for example: submitting an idea for a charity we are apart of) but its challenging that we can't individually mark our personal completion of the activity as complete (I submitted my idea for the charity but other users have not). I wish the activity would not officially complete until all user's marked their share as complete. But if an individual user marked their share as complete, it still appears as complete on their calendar .

Activities tab sort by contacts please go back to Last Name
Activities tab sort by contacts please go back to sorting by "Last Name" with the contact tab. No one in the business world sorts by first name of clients. This just changed yesterday 4/27/2022.

Past due tasks stay on Today screen
When I assign a task to myself or someone else, it will be on my today screen until the due date. If I don't get to it, and it goes to past due, it goes in the past due section. This would be fine, except every single calendar event goes there too, and it is useless for finding past due tasks. Like any good task list, they should stay on the Today screen until they are actually marked as complete. Unless I'm missing something, which is very possible....

Activity Start & End Date - Past Due
Activities should NOT show past due if the end date has not passed yet.
If Redtail is not able to adjust this right now can a column be added to the activity list view? "Start Date" & "End Date" that way we can at least see those dates in the list view?
We are not able to keep an accurate track record of the activities that are past due or the activities on someone's plate - including the time allotment for the task. What is the point of the end date field if it doesn't show on the activity list…6 votes -

Activities - Show On Main Page Past Due And Today's Activities. I do not only want to see today's activities, I want to also see the past due activities that people have snuck into my activities list that I don't know to check for.

timezone
Display two timezones at once vertically on the left side of the calendar.
Remote work, technology improvements, and hybrid work schedules are increasingly bringing in the opportunity to work with clients from around the world and employees from around the world. Showing two time zones along a calendar would be helpful when coordinating and scheduling meetings as collaboration times that work for multiple parties. This could be something that can be toggled on for people who need it and off for people who don't need it.

Complete & stop recurring activity, not JUST delete
Add ability to complete AND stop future recurring instances for an activity. By only having the choice to delete an instance now deletes all past activities for records & compliance.

show tasks, meeting etc for ALL DATES not just 30 days (FOR 5 Years you have been working on this???)
THis is a no brainer AND a no brainer in coding.

filter categories
On the drop-down for categories on notes and activities, it would be extremely helpful if we could filter those by a specific word the same way we can filter attendees. We have hundreds of categories and to be able to type in "Distribution" and see EVERY category that contains that word would be a HUGE time saver!

Disable delete ability for activity
There should be a way for an Admin to disable/remove the delete option for other users, in relation to activities. Any user should not be able to go in to any activity and simply delete it.
