dont delete activity when multiple users are in same activity
I am baffled that I was told this is not a glitch. But, when two users are updating one task simultaneously, one of them will simply be ignored, and none of their new data will be captured in the task. they will have no idea the task was not updated unless they quality control every item and spend an hour each day making sure redtail did capture what redtail was supposed to capture. see ticket 992803 for background if you want

save and clone loop
When you click on save and clone on an activity you opened from the calendar you get a new window for the clone activity (I use this for the followup actions from an appointment). When you save the new cloned activity, the screen reverts back to the original activity - upon clicking on complete you end up back on the cloned activity (if you hit cancel you wind up back on the completed activity) - once the clone is saved and the prior activity has been completed you should end up back to the calendar page where you started.

Lock Open Activities from Editing
We would like to see an ability for "lock editing" on activities so that only the person who created the activity can make changes. All users and attendees can view, but only the creator (or designated user (s)) can edit.

List the day of the week - Activities
Please associate the day of the week when looking at Activities. It would be very helpful for scheduling purposes.

Invoicing
Similar to the create and activity, would be to create an invoice. After compiling notes those who are billed for planning services, it would be convenient to move right to invoice generation.

Why do I have to filter my dates in activities every time I sign into Redtail
It should automatically stay that way. Another inconvenient time consuming thing in Redtail!!

Assign a Task to a client
I would love it if you add a new feature to your Tasks. This is the ability
to assign a Task to a client. Why? Often I give them a to do list, that is,
things they need to accomplish and when I meet with them later on, I want
to be able to ask them if they got those things done. How do I remember

List of activities should have a Sort-able Due Date Column
Under the Activities menu item, there should be a column for the due date and you should be able to sort the list of activities by this date, like the other currently available columns. Without it, if you have an activity to call the client in two months, it shows on top when sorting by date, yet it has the latest due date of all activities.

Add a button
You should add a button so when we schedule something (other than a meeting) and it's not done on the date it was assigned, it can automatically roll forward. We waste way too much time moving past items not yet completed forward into the current day. It would be far easier and less stressful to have an option to have these items move automatically to the next day. This is done in most other CRM like Act and others.

activity completion date in Timeline
Is it possible for there to be a feature or setting that allows the date to be published in the timeline of the day the event was scheduled to occur? Currently, if my boss sees a client on 8/1/17, then he won't update his calendar until sometime in September to reflect that the event has taken place. In the client's timeline, the date on the top right will say that the event occurred on the random date in september that he clicked "completed event", not on the actual date he completed it. Activities / Workflows repeating on month, quarter, period end
Need to have workflows and activities that can repeat frequency on month end, quarter end or a designated period end - i.e. this activity is to tie to the last day of each month - since the last day is either the 30th or 31st - not all months have the same ending date, so the way RedTail is set up today this is not able to be created - the fix is to have the activity repeat the 1st of each month, but that is confusing to our people

Linked Documents in Activity from Imaging
It would be so very useful to be able to link a document to an activity from the record's linked Redtail Imaging folders. If you are referencing completing or creating something for a client you can include the version in the activity, only saving it in one place.

Email's sent regarding an activity need improvement
When I create or update a task and add my assistant as a user, she receives an email with a very generic note that says an activity has been updated or created.
It would be very useful if at least the subject of the task could be the subject of the RedTail email, and it would be even better if the advisor assigning the task would be listed in the subject line as well.

Allow users to set whether a custom activity is either an appointment or task
We created a new activity category that is basically a special kind of task. Unfortunately, Retriever identifies all custom activities as appointments, so now these tasks are syncing with advisors calendars, where we don't want them. Please allow users to program whether a new activity category is an appointment or a task, to allow us greater calendar customization without flooding outlook calendars with clutter.

Open Activities
I created a new activity type - outstanding issue to mark those things where we have reached out to the client but not heard back from them so the issue is still outstanding. Normally I'd put this in important information but that field is too easy to ignore (until you fix that, right?). Reminder to Save activity
When working in an activity either creating or updating, it would be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious if a box popped up asking if you want to save it when you have not as typical products (like Microsoft) do. Please, please, please make this a priority! I searched but could not find it on earlier recommendations which surprises me because I was told by the RedTail executive at our National Conference that there had been much feedback asking for this after Tail Wag came out.
