broadcast email
I've been testing out templates for broadcast emails, plus the auto-populate function. Can I suggest that several improvements should happen. It would be nice to import an image rather than linking to a URL. Not every image we have is a standalone on a website, so you're taking all or nothing. And when the email is sent, the image jumps in size rather than stay at the scale created.
Also - and this is a big one - the auto-populate feature for names needs work. It's nice, but doesn't allow for personalizing preferred name to legal name. Robert and Elizabeth are clients, but prefer to be called Bob and Liz. Getting an email from us that says Robert and Elizabeth immediately smacks of computer generated. And lets say that Liz died a few years back. She is listed as deceased in our database, both by status and date of death, but when we send an email out, it says "Hi Robert and Liz!" Why wouldn't her name be automatically omitted if the system knows she's deceased? Same thing for clients who are single or divorced. This means we would have to create a separate template for every family circumstance. I've tested this over and over with several combinations of family factors and it still doesn't deliver correctly, not unless you just decide to only go with the primary contact only.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Yes, agree about the photos as I just ran into this last week. I uploaded them using the suggested Imgur.com, however, some of my test emails sent to team members showed the pics to be only black boxes that stated "pic not longer available". Spoke to a different rep this morning-she stated each pic uploaded has to have .jpeg at the end of the URL link to upload correctly within the email formatting...hope this helps others.
Also, the ability to upload our letterhead as a background to the emails content would be a nice feature also. -

The ability to import a photo rather than needing a URL would allow for more photos to be easily added to an email. Would really like this option.

Importing an image rather than linking a URL would be great!
