A way to protect notes from inadvertently deleted
Is there a way to better protect notes before we have a chance to save them? While talking to a client and taking notes on Retail I often will pull up another record and in doing so go back to where I had notes only to find them gone. If there was a feature like Word where is you close a document without saving it the software asks you if you want to save before it closes.

Noelle Trudeau - THANK YOU very much for your comment about the "show drafts" button. I had never noticed that before your comment, and you helped me to recover an important missing note. My note was from 11 days ago, and I have seen in other records drafts of notes going back 7 months. Now, if we can just get RedTail to implement a way to auto save notes or make it so we don't lose notes to begin with, we'll be in great shape. Thanks millions!

I am not sure if this would help you, but I had a similar issue (except mine was due to my Redtail login timing out while I was constructing a note). Support pointed me to a small hyperlink at the bottom left of the "Add Note" window that says "Show Drafts." I do not know how long this maintains drafts, but for items within an hour or two prior, it saved the text of the "lost" note as a draft for me. If it does the same for you, would you comment back?
