Permission Folders
There should be a Permissions feature available in Redtail Imaging for Folders. For example, a financial advisor that has their own folder with individual client folders within it should have the ability to be the only one with Permission to view their own folder (outside of database owner of course). It shouldn't be setup so that everyone can view each other's client folders, especially given the stepped up focus on cyber security and identity theft. I am really surprised this hasn't been corrected yet. Thank you.

Massive security risk. I can't believe a document management compliance system is knowingly allowing for this type of exposure.

Yes, we definitely need a solution to restrict access for multiple advisor groups, HR files, corporate documents, etc. I am shocked that this was not done from the beginning!

Yes, this needs to be changed. I don't currently use imaging because of this flaw. It is a major security risk. I almost didn't move to my database to Redtail because of this oversight. As soon as permissions are added to imaging I will be adding the service.

None of the imaging items have ever been finished. Finish the most important one.

Redtail Imaging does not currently have user permissions like the CRM does, which means that anyone with access to the CRM can access the entire imaging archive. Although there are different "libraries" there is nothing to stop any user from accessing all libraries, or using the search function which queries across libraries. This is an issue for growing offices of multiple advisors with separate books or keeping any amount of sensitive firm records on the imaging system.

Allow us to set permissions for document storage in Redtail imaging.

Not having permissions for imaging folders is a major flaw, actually shocking given the privacy, cyber issues, we deal with in this industry! Please address this NOW. Thank you.

There should be an option for the administrator of an account to have password protected folders in imaging if he/she so chose to do so.

I agree that being able to decide who does and does have access to certain folders would be a very helpful feature. This would also help out a lot for joint business in which you would like two advisors to be able to see one imaging fondler or library.

How has this not been completed yet? Its been planned for over a year...

The lack of this feature is keeping us from purchasing Imaging.... This is an essential feature for this industry.

If you establish multiple libraries, for example one for each advisor, I agree with Michael. It would be beneficial to establish controls as to who can access each library.

In Redtail Imaging please add folder level permissions like Dropbox!
We have a Corporate library and I would like to restrict access to folders so that I can keep my HR folders, budgeting, business receipts, Payroll info, etc. Access must be restricted! -

Yes, this is a big issue. We are a completely digital office - no paper. There is a lot of sensitive info in documents in imaging (SSN etc.). Also, any user could DELETE anything or everything in imaging. That would be a nightmare!!!

It would also be great to control which users are able to download/delete images and folders.

We need to have the ability to restricted access to the Imaging Integration database to only one user. At the moment anyone in the office can access the Imaging database (not speaking of the CRM docs under individual contacts) but the back-access where they have the ability to go in and add/remove/change and rearrange those documents and folders. This is not something we want to happen. We have a standard format for document labeling and a process to ensure the images are complete and correct as well as making sure our separate server file is updated to match. To avoid things like accidental deleting or uploading a document that it blank or warped, access needs to be limited.

Since imaging is being sold as a compliant add-on, it needs to be compliant at the user level as well as the system level especially in multi-advisor offices! If any advisor with a RedTail login can see all clients in imaging, it's not really compliant, is it?
