filter notes by user in contact
While in a contact's record, I'd like to have the ability to filter notes by user. We have a team that services each contact, so multiple people enter notes. I'd like an easier way to find notes I made for a particular client that doesn't require me to run a report.

Automatically Link Contacts with their Company
When you search for a company and then click on it, you should be able to automatically see the people associated with that company, without having to manually add them in the department fields, which doesn't search for existing contacts to add. When you add a contact and their Company Information, they should automatically be associated with that Business. When you search for a company in the search box, the list should include those contacts associated with the company. (FYI - per a response in a closed posting. employer/employment info
We want to start using the client profile print out at client meetings and want the employer information but we DO NOT want the Employers as contacts. We thought we could put it under the section of Know Your Client but that doesn't feed to the profile page! Why can't you give us a choice about creating a employer contact???

Add "Years Until Retirement" next to Retirement Date in Know Your Client
This would be a helpful feature for quickly looking at a clients record to determine the number of years until they retire. Once we type in the clients birthday and retirement date, the system would calculate the number of years until they hit that retirement date. Much like the anniverary or birthday counting feature. Thanks!!

Notes to head of household automatically copy to spouse's contact
It would be nice to have notes automatically post to the head of household's spouse with having to "copy to another contact".

Hearsay texting platform integration
My b/d requires we use Hearsay as our texting solution if we choose to communicate with clients via text. I know that RT has a texting solution already but I'm asking that you guys add an integration with Hearsay to copy texting conversations to the appropriate Contact record in RT

Add state of residence of contact without an address
We ALWAYS know what state a potential client resides in. Any prospective client will gladly tell us what state they reside in because that is crucial to the relationship. States have different laws, different taxes and advisors are only licensed and can do business in certain states. On the flip side, people (in general) are incredibly hesitant to give out their home address until a relationship is built. Online or web link New Client/Prospect Data Gathering
It would be great to have a link that is linked to our Redtail CRM where we can email that link to the new client. Client clicks on the link and is able to enter all information requested. This will be a HUGE TIME SAVER. Plus, we can collect all information from client instead of us calling client to gather information needed, to then realize that there is information missing. Also, we can add the link on to our website where new clients and prospects can go and fill out all the information needed.

Financial Planning Tab in Clients
I would love to see the addition of a Financial Planning tab under the contact record. It would be a summary page of where a client is. It may have things like whether they have a will or not, when that will was done, when we last asked about the will to make sure it is reflects current wishes. It would have places for outside accounts or insurance policies (for a placeholder for accounts we don't have downloading in and won't mess up our AUM numbers). Ability to archive a UDF
We use UDFs for our RMD so we will have one for each year. While that is very useful during the year and immediately following it would be nice, for purposes of keeping lists clean, if we could archive a UDF. What I envision this doing is it being removed from the list and anyone that has that UDF has a note recorded that they had it and what the udf contained for them.

Add an option for "ACH" or "WIRE" banking information
When adding in contact's banking information, we should have the ability to select if the banking information is for ACH or Wire transfers.

Change Formatting of Website Code for Phone Numbers
Mitel Web Dialer, which is a Chrome Extension, is working the way it is intended on any other website, but in Redtail it is not. The way it works is any phone number on the page will be highlighted orange and with just a click, it will dial it using the Mitel phone assistant application.
In Redtail we figured out what the issue essentially is. I am attaching a screenshot of some of the webpage and the developer mode.

Retired next to previous occupation
Make a way to add if a client is retired while still having their previous occupation listed. Maybe a checkbox or parenthesis next to the occupation at the top of the client page or in the contact details.

mail merge fields
Why is it taking so long to make more mergeable fields? There should have been updates to these along time ago. Mail Merge items that are of DIRE NEED are:
SSN (client & spouse)
Cell phone # (client & spouse)
DOB--spouse is not
email address -- spouse is not
FULL NAME -- spouse to many merge fields to get one result
ID #'s (client & spouse)
ETC.

Add calculated UDF capability
Having the option to create UDFs that are calculated based on other fields would be immensely beneficial. Potential uses include:
Automatic RMD calculation
- Automatically adjust divisor based on client age
- Automatically calculate RMD given 12/31 balance and divisor
- Could create a "Remaining RMD" field that can help track distributions taken to-date
Better reporting on time-based activities -- fields can auto-update based on date triggers
Client groupings that update automatically based on age, AUM, etc.

I want the Referred by box to search the CRM related to contacts that I am typing. I want to link the referring client directly to the refer
Not browser saving prior entries, but that it links it to the contact client that referred the new client.

add a household portfolio balance option
When a client is married you should have the option to see the household portfolio balance not just the individual portfolio balance on the main screen.
