Automation Based on Client Marital Status Change
Add "Contact Marital Status Change" as a trigger event for automations. That way we can trigger a workflow to see if the contact wishes to change their beneficiaries, send a sympathy or congratulations card (depending on whether their status changed to widowed or to married), and contact the client to see if they would like to update their financial plan.

Add the Automation Condition field - Created By
Please add the Created By field for the automation condition.
This way I can create a template for permissions that says to assign a certain permission to a Contact/Note/Activity if it was created by a specific user.
This would completely automate all of the permissions in my database for the 20+ users we have.
Also please add the action for when notes are created.

Enable/Disable Birthday Reminder
You need to add way more automation triggers and activities that an automation can launch. For instance, the ability to be able to add or remove a birthday reminder would be useful. There are loads more that people have suggested, you just need to look.

Add automation trigger based on COMPLETION, allowing delayed activity assignment as action
Automation triggered by COMPLETION of certain activities/events. For example: The completion of a client review triggers an activity for a user 75 days later. The newly created activity is a task to call/email that client for their next review. The current method (creation of activity) does not account for delays and reschedules.

automated workflow trigger seminar
I would love a trigger for when I add a seminar to our calendar. It would be very helpful, so I can put reminders in about when we need to pay invoices, mail out letters, etc.

Set up an automation so that that a message is automatically sent to clients on their birthday and on their anniversary
send out an automatic birthday wish to each client on their birthday? I would like it to go automatically to the client on their birthday

Automation Activity Update
In automation please add as a trigger event "Accitivty Changed/Update". I would like the system to notify a specific person that an appointment is updated/changed.

Automation based on UDFs/Dates
It would be great if we were able to set up automation triggers based on if a UDF date field expires. For example, if we want to do a cash flow review every 2 years and we have a UDF that shows the date of the last cash flow review, it would be awesome to have an activity created once the last cash flow review hits the 2 year mark.

Automations: Change of Contact Status TO Create/Update Contact Tag Group
We use MarketingPro for scheduled campaigns to our clients via email. The only way to set groups in MP from RT is to set up tag groups for each campaign. It would be GREAT if there were automations triggered when a Contacts Status is changed to one of our options to automatically trigger them to be added/removed or changed to the specific tag group. This way, our campaigns in MP are always up to date and current to actual contact status.
Example:
Contact Status updated to 'Former Client' triggers the 'Active Client' Tag Group to be removed.

Automations IF conditions...
Why are we unable to use any of the IF conditions across the different trigger events? EX for a trigger event of Activity Added, I can only use IF conditions that revolve around Activities. A trigger event of Contact Status change will only allow IF conditions revolving around Contact information.
What I need is the ability to have a trigger of an Activity Added allow me to use IF conditions from Contact info, such as category, status etc.
Summary: If the IF conditions are available in one instance they should be available in all instances it seems.

If conditions true options in automation
Love to see more options in the "If...conditions true" lists.. such as:
Category = (A, A+, B etc)
Date of birth is equal to, greater than, less thanSo much more can be done with these automations!!

Account Value Automations
It would be very helpful to receive notification when a client's account goes below a certain value or to $0. Often times clients may transfer out and we may not know about it. This feature would not only help us to reach out to these clients but also keep our database clean by maintaining these $0 accounts (which negatively affect our AUM / Ave Portfolio values).

An Automation for adding contacts to a tag group (syncing with retriever cloud)
With Retriever cloud,
We must sync contacts via a tag group.
With R4TW we're able to sync contacts with a quicklist,
quicklist are more beneficial since they update automatically.
If there was a way to choose quicklist with retriever cloud, even better.

UDF automation action item
If a status is changed (already trigger), then an a UDF (YES/NO) would be automatically connected as an action item.
For example, if status is marked as "client", then a UDF saying asking about Newsletter opt-in would automatically put "yes". Then you can change for the exceptions since most clients want your newsletter.

Syncing between Quicklists and Tag Groups
Is there any way to sync a quicklist to a tag group? As more and more 3rd parties are using Tag groups, if our tag groups are not manually updated, they become obsolete. As the criteria in a quicklist may change and drop a client or add a client, a tag group must be manually changed. We are a larger firm and some clients may be missed. Is there anyway a syncing feature could be added? It would be most helpful.

it would be nice if redtail could send an email template automatically on a client's account anniversary/annual review. Right now I have to manually send a template to the client.

With automation workflows, allow custom naming convention of automatically generated workflow
would like to be able to insert client name into the title of the workflow that's generated from an automation workflow so that all our automatically generated workflows don't have the same generic title as the template from which they are created.
