This is a great idea that should really be looked at. It was a little confusing when I described to a Redtail Service Rep and as the above request did not receive a response, I am going to explain a little more specifically.

-As requested and completed, Redtail saves docs in activities to the contact's document section.
-If I have a doc that I want 3 different members of my team to see and work on in different capacities, I will create 3 activities one for each member to eliminate any confusion on who is suppose to do what. Then I link the doc to each activity.

-When I link the doc to the first activity it will save as the name of the pdf. For example "statement.pdf"
-When I link the doc to the second activity it will save as "statement(1).pdf"
-When I link the doc to the third activity it will save as "statement(2).pdf"
-If I look at the contact's document section, there will be 3 docs that are all the same thing but called "statement.pdf", "statement(1).pdf", and "statement(2).pdf"
-There should be a way to only upload the doc 1 time to eliminate the unnecessary clutter.

I was thinking when you press Add for Linked Documents, there can be another button like the "Add files" that says something like "Choose from Contact's Documents"

    Thank you for the time.

This is much needed and Redtail should reassess their decision not to make this change (As noted on recommendation titled "Due Dates for Steps and Tasks")

This is a much needed addition. I want reps to see rep workflows and employees to see employee workflows and admins to see everything. Can we have a status update on this?

I agree with this - the square only feature should be removed. It retracts from the capabilities of redtail. The only way I've found to get around this problem is to open the DL in Paint, shrink it and move it to the middle of the palette surrounded by empty space. Then saving it and cropping it in redtail from there. With a CRM system designed to be efficient, having to do this just makes me lose valuable time.
