Workflow Flow Chart
It would be nice to have a visual tree that shows all of the possible tasks and outcomes that may occur in one graphical tree when creating new workflows.
The issue I run into is making sure that I have added all of the possible outcomes when creating a new workflow
I would like to see the outcome as the same as what is on page 60 and 61 in the 2015 Redtail University Workbook.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

The workflow needs to have an chain of commands that can be customized and executed by linking you directly to the page via an internal bridge that enables you to not even have to leave the primary interface. Imagine inputting a note for a client, setting the status as new business, a work flow window pops up right there in the clients profile, and then you can have pop-ups that coordinate with the command you’re looking to perform. that way, I didn’t have to go down, add the work flow, do the step, come back, press complete, etc… if it brought the first step in a separate window, and then automatically went to the next step when the first one was done. A funnel workflow with automated links to bridge activities would help prevent things like changing contact status, sending welcome emails, etc… from falling through the cracks.

Conga Orchestrate (a workflow engine in Salesforce) uses LucidChart's "CSV of Shape" to import into their system. I don't know if that would be helpful to the Redtail team. So redtail could use Lucidchart for the template/visual part and then Redtail's workflow engine as the actual active workflow. https://support.conga.com/content/orchestrate/conga-orchestrate/installation-and-setup/advanced-setup/lucidchart-integration-with-conga-orchestrate/creating-process-definitions-from-lucidchart-diagrams

If I could I would use all of my votes on this process. It is difficult to write workflows without being able to print and discuss them with the office to make sure all steps, tasks, and outcomes are achieved. Redtail, you need to seriously consider making this available.

I've put a lot of work into creating functional workflows for our company. One thing that would have made their creation easier is a real-time and editable workflow diagram.
I would love it if Redtail had a "split-screen" option when creating workflows. One side would show the workflow as the current Task List. The other would show the Workflow Diagram. The Diagram would show Steps with associated Tasks in boxes that could be moved in a way that makes sense to the creator. Outcomes would be shown with a simple line and arrow linking box to box. A workflow start and workflow complete shape should also be included. Any of this could be edited from a simple drop-down menu attached to the Step, Task, or Outcome. Clicking edit would take you to the current Task List view, allowing you to edit the details.
Currently, I use another free, open source program to do this. The diagrams have helped me visualize what is happening and what can be improved within the workflow. The diagrams have also helped with training our staff how to use the workflows most effectively.
As it is, Workflows are an amazing tool. I would love to see this improvement so they can be used to their fullest potential.

Totally on board for this, Seeing the outcomes would help a lot.

This suggestion has been suggested in the past with not much activity. Workflows are a great tool but....... How are we expected to see what has been created, revise and debug a workflow, and review the steps and outcomes if we can't print out the entire diagram? Come on Redtail, let's see some action here.
Seems like 123 votes to have a report created (and not for active worksheets)

When reviewing or reworking a workflow, it would be so nice to be able to print the workflow, showing the outcomes. Very frustrated to "whiteboard" and not be able to see what outcomes also need editing.

We need to be able to print out our workflow templates, compete with steps, tasks, and outcomes. As it is now, the only workflow printouts we can get are for active workflows. Why is there no option to print our templates so they can be reviewed and noted with amendments? It would also make it easier if we could have a printout to show other advisors what we have created so they can determine if they would like a copy of it.

Really need this feature for all the same reasons others have noted.

Is there a way to view the task listed underneath each step in the workflow diagram?
When I click to view the diagram it only shows the title of workflow name and title of workflow steps and the task underneath the steps are not displayed. -

This would be very helpful since I am in the process of creating workflows, and automating them. The ability to print to make notes as they are used to improve the process would be very beneficial.

Need to be able to print out the templates, complete with outcomes. How else will we see what we've created, where the problems are, and what needs to be fixed?

Is there a plan to make the Workflow Diagram printable? As it now stands, it will print, but looks pretty funky. The diagram overlays the page below, so you just see gibberish.
Also the diagram on a lengthy workflow extends beyond the edge of the screen to the right, but there is no way to scroll right to view the entire diagram. -

Not just steps & tasks, but full descriptions. It currently prints the Task descriptions (if you use Google print from the upper right corner with the three dots), but not the Step descriptions. This is extremely useful when reviewing newly-built workflows with the rest of the office (who don't build workflows, just comment as I'm building them.)

It's great that we can print out a diagram of a workflow that is active and assigned to a client but why can't we also print out a diagram of all the workflows we've created? It would be helpful if we were able to so they could be analyzed and notes made to improve the template. Print screen of a template is not a complete solution as the potential outcomes and actions are not visible.

We would like to print a multi task single step workflow with all tasks and task notes visible in order to easily save the work that has been done, place into a rep folder in a different location and close out the workflow.

Some people are used to and work better with paper copies. For those individuals, it would be great to be able to print the Workflows in an easy to read and understand layout. The current workaround seems to be screen shots.
