An error occurred while saving the comment Paulette Pasquale commentedWe have been begging Redtail to create a Standard Report for several years, but they still have not done this. I just listened to the recorded training for Advanced Searches, which specifically mentioned a RMD search. This search did not even include searching for retirement accounts. I just did the manual process which required two separate "quicklist" searches, then exporting for further work. This is an IRS requirement. Why does Redtail not understand that we all need such a report???

First I want to say that my database is up-to-date with all of the information entered. I just tried to run the search you say works, in the exact order that you recommended, and I received zero (0) hits! I tried it on any possible TQ type, with the same result!!!!! I have been trying to accomplish this for months, with no success. I finally had Redtail techs create a custom SQL (quicklist) for me last year. I just looked at that report, and two clients correctly coded as "deceased client", not "active client" are still on the list and one client who is required to take her first distribution this year was not added. So, even when you have all of your data input, this is not as easy as you make it sound. I still do not understand why Redtail does not just create a standard report and inform users of the data field that need to be filled. I think it is obvious that there is a need for such a report and that I am not the only person having problems. An error occurred while saving the comment Paulette Pasquale commentedI actually have tried to run the screen using 69. The problem is I haven't been able to get just those clients with tax-qualified accounts. So again I am requesting - why doesn't Redtail simply create a report that all of us can run. its pretty obvious that advisors need this kind of information.
An error occurred while saving the comment Paulette Pasquale commentedI see users have been requesting an easy way to generate a RMD report that will update automatically. It is important that we assure that are clients take these, but apparently there is no easy way to run a report and moniter this. As of Sept 2012, this request was still under review. Any timeline when we might see a standardized report that shows all clients over age 70.5 who have any type of tax-qualified account????

Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.

I migrated to Tailwag. I discovered that when you want to search completed activities, it shows the oldest activities first. On the other version, newest activities were first. Since I have clients with several pages of activities, I would really prefer to see the newest items first.
