Add Types of Accounts (Insurance/Investment)
There are too many insurance fields under an account when we primarily have linked investment accounts. It would help clean things up if we could click "add a new account" and then choose "Investment" or "Insurance" to see different lists of fields.
Coverage info, BICE info, etc does not apply to our investment accounts, but rep code, systematic transactions in/out, bank of record fields would.

Link Bank Account to Investment Accounts
We would love to be able to record which bank accounts in a client record are attached to which investment accounts, and if they are first or third party bank accounts.

Is it possible to add a block under "Accounts" for RMD's? (Required Minimum Distributions?
Please add a block for "Required Minimum Distributions" - this is a Federal Law and requires the client to start the withdrawal at the age of 72.5 years old from IRA's, Roth's, etc.. The block would need: RMD Eligible (date), Fair Market Value, Current Year RMD Amount, Scheduled RMD (a simple yes or no), First Payment Date, Next Payment Date, Payment Frequency and Payment Method.
This would be a big help to balance Client records/assets.6 votes -
Today page Account Types and Held Away Wheel
Closed accounts are reflected in the wheel. This needs to have an option to display only open accounts.

Create insurance account pages that actually make sense with insurance reports
I have been a user since Brian was giving the training and RT still hasn't created simple insurance pages with fields that only pertain to that type of insurance. Also, it is a scandal for a supposed CRM for financial advisors that there isn't an insurance report. Maybe Orion will help.

Asset ID on Account Exports
Include the AssetID on Account Exports when assets are selected on a Report. We cannot currently update assets on accounts without this information.

Accounts - Transactions- Trade type
Please add "EXCHANGE" & TRANSFER" to the transaction trade type. I'm sure other advisors use exchanges and transfers from time to time.

custom account names
It would be awesome to have a "custom account name" feature for accounts. This would be ideal for 529s and Trusts. Could be under "basic info" and displayed on accounts view of the profile either underneath product type or in-between account & tax qual type

Ability to add more than two people as account owners
When assigning ownership of an account to a contact, you can currently only assign two owners. I have several accounts with 3 or more owners, so the ability to add more would be nice.

Under "Basic Information" the "Company" field... it would be super cool if you would make it a "live" field that connects with the contact page of the company. And then on that company's page, perhaps we could eventually see all the accounts linked with that company.

ownership
How come you can run a report for almost every field in Redtail except the ones under the Ownership section in Accounts? For example, I can search for all of my SEP IRA's by using the tax qualified type under Basic Information. But, if I want to run a report for all of my JTWROS accounts I can't. It makes no sense. They are equally important. Every field should be searchable. Why is Redtail limiting the fields we can search or run reports on?

FINRA Rules now requires that we use only approved reporting for clients so beneficiary report can not be used with clients
With FINRA Rule Change our Broker-Dealer will only allow reports on market values to be given to clients through our reporting system. Our office used the beneficiary report for clients but since this report also lists the value of each account we are no longer able to give it to the client. We need to be able to print this report with no values and only beneficiary information

Would it be possible to add a per stirpes check box in the beneficiary section?
Add a box that could be checked mark if the beneficiary is set up as per stirpes

Modal Premium/investment frequency- please add a single pay or 1 time.
A lot of annuity products are single pay and this doesn't translate with what is available to pick from. A simple solution is to add a single pay to the drop-down feature of the investment frequency.

family tree & relationship within client profile
Have the ability to state/link who the parents are outside of the current family option. The current option only allows dependents and, if that dependent were to become a client, shows their accounts as well.
This improvement would help users identify family connections with individuals with divorces parents or a parent(s) that are deceased. It could be displayed in a box similar to "health information" with blanks for "mother:" and "father:_". This plus the "status" option of "related to client" would help bridge name/family changes.3 votes -
Add Asset ID to Account Exports
When exporting asset details, include the Asset ID on spreadsheet. Comes in handy when trying to update asset information for accounts with multiple assets listed.

Create an export that includes AssetID's
When exporting account data from the CRM, include the Asset ID in the export when assets are present.

Rep code
On the main accounts tab have column showing Rep Code for specific accounts. Some clients have multiple accounts and each account is handled by different agents within the company and each agent has a rep code. Having it available on the main accounts tab for quick reference would be beneficial when calling regarding the client and needing to provide rep codes to companies to access secure information.

Redtail Account ID to show on Accounts
9-14-22 I noticed you've added the Contact ID to the Contact main screen. YAY!!! What a help.
Now.....can you do the same with the hidden Redtail Account ID on the Account screen? If it fits, it could be on the grid screen of all accounts when you pick a client, then accounts (as a column), or on an account detail screen.
