Contact Categories Specific to a Contact Status
Be able to create a contact category that only generates when a certain status is selected.... Instead of having a huge drop down list of every category known to man, let the admin create what categories are to be selected depending on the status that is selected.
Example: Status selected is "prospect" then "category" choices would be a limited list of what the admin created instead of a giant dropdown list 100 categories.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.

Ability to specify specific category options for specific statuses. For example, if the status is "Client", the only options available for category are A, B, C. If the status is "Lead", the only options available for category are Cold, Warm, Lost.
Be able to create Contact Categories specific to a particular Contact Status. For example, for Status = Client, category choices are A, AA, AAA, but for Status = Prospect, category choices might be Pending, Hot, Won, Lost, etc. Right now, all category choices are presented regardless of the Status selected. Along those lines, add another field like Client Type for some more granularity. If Category is used for segmentation, then Type can be used for Investment, Financial Planning, Both, etc. Could use Keywords, but then that gets very heavily populated with other keywords like Newsletter, etc.
