  1. Do not automatically expand comments under notes section in client record

    Please return to having users drill down to the comments in the notes section of a client record. This morning we found the comments suddenly expanded on all notes in our clients' records. We rely heavily on note and comments, however, with the comments automatically showing, our team is spending an undue amount of time scrolling through the notes section to find pertinent information.
    Could this be an option in preferences?

  2. Employer Address Shared to the Contact Card as "Work" Address

    It would be helpful if the business/work address of an Employer fed over into the contact card of the contact under "work" address. This would eliminate unnecessary time manually adding in the work address if multiple employees are clients. I'd recommend treating it just like a "Family"... If a contact's work address is different than the main address, then make it possible to have the work address added first, then assign the Employer to the Individual. That way, the Employer address will be shared to the contact card.

  3. Make deceased contact show current age as if they were alive

    I would like deceased contacts to keep counting their age next to their birthday as if they were alive. Or put the age they were when they died next to date of death, and have their "current" age next to their birthday. This is helpful when planning with widows for example.

  4. Have a "hot" contact name in a UDF connect with the contact's record.

    When we have contact names in a client UDF, it would link to the contact's record. We are having to get creative with some of our information since the program doesn't have certain fields and we can't edit them.

    We service a lot of employer 401k/403b/457 plans. It would be great to have more features that support plan management

  6. Columns available to filter on Favorites view screen

    It would be great to have my Favorites screen show the client's primary phone & email. Also being able to select my Favorites screen columns to be static would be great. I don't want to have to filter the content every time.

  7. Instead of listing "writing advisor and servicing advisor" allow those to be changed.. Lead advisor and associate advisor probably better

    Servicing and writing advisor can be confusing. Allow us to change those. Lead advisor and associate advisor would be better.

  9. reorder contact info

    Would help organize client's contact info if we were able to reorder them without deleting and reentering the info. Then you could just move preferred method to the top or put one email above another.

  10. Disable birthday reminder and other contact reminders when termination date added

    Would like the birthday reminder (and any other relevant contact reminders) be disabled once a termination date is entered.

  11. Removing clutter and organizing notes vs. calling/scheduling notes

    Having come from sales force and being used to that system I need help creating a separate section, other than notes, that strictly tracks calls made and notes related to the call. it becomes very cluttered to have all notes and communication on the main page for the client.

  12. new contact record box identifying "assistant" for each household

    In the Contact Details box. Currently there is a servicing advisor and writing advisor box to inform office of the lead advisor and the junior advisor. Most advisors in our office have several assistants and it would be great to be able to have a assigned "assistant" box where we could select which office assistant works with each household. SO it would be a dropdown of all our office assistants and we could select which of the 8 was on each contact/household.

    I would love to be able to tab to the next client rather than backing out of the current client just to go to the next client.

  14. Restrict who can create new contacts

    In an office with multiple employees, we are constantly running into people putting contacts in without full details... review months, servicing advisor, address, phone, etc. We are also seeing duplicates because of misspellings or people not paying attention to details.

    I would like to see an option where we could limit who is building contact records, so that information is properly entered the first time and corrections - and missed details - are kept to a minimum. Advisors could provide support staff with information (even if not every contact detail was available) to minimize issues.

  16. professional contact

    I don't like that Redtail automatically creates a contact if I add a Professional Contact for a client. Same with their Employer. I don't need these to be listed separately as Contacts if I only want to see them under that particular client. Maybe a check box for if you want to add the prof contact or employer as a new Contact in the database.

  17. Customize the Contacts' Sidebar

    When viewing a contact/client profile, we use some of the sidebar links frequently and some not at all. I would love to change my Contact Record preference settings so that the categories I use all the time (Accounts, Workflows, Documents, Notes, Activities, Permissions/Roles) are at the top of the list.

  18. In the dark mode you cannot tell in clients contact record what their primary contact, email, etc. is.

    It's usually bold and red, now the font color is just black and you can't even tell that it's bold. Thinking either make the primary be red again or blue.

  19. copy and paste

    Have the ability like Orion does to copy and paste with one click on the contact card information instead of having to highlight the entire email address/phone number/address.

  20. Client Ribbon Color Change

    When a client passes away, allow users to change color to contact on the ribbon so it is not just red.
    Also allow us to have different colors for contacts when having mulitple advisors on one system.
