Setting preferences for each activity type length
Setting a preferred length of time for each activity type, ie appointments would be an hour & 15 mins, tasks 15 minutes, phone call 30 minutes, etc. so when setting those tasks it defaults to that amount of time automatically without having to adjust the times from where you clicked on the calendar.

default activity duration - adding 1 hr 15 mins for default activity time would be very helpful! We set all of our appointments for 75 minutes, and it is a hassle to only be able to set for 60 or 90 minutes, nothing in between.

Can we get Redtail Speak to support secure texting, including attachments?
It would be great if it is secure so that client can securely text their advisor copies of voided check, account statements, etc.

AUTO SAVE COMMENTS JUST LIKE NOTES ARE AUTO SAVED TO DRAFT
Especially in a client management system, notes and more specifically comments in notes need to be automatically saved so we can efficiently document conversations with clients or actions taken for clients.
Too many times have I been typing a comment and i accidentally click outside the box and it closes and all the notes are lost.3 votes -
Delete or Hide Read Messages in Redtail Speak
We really need a way to mark interoffice Redtail Speak messages as "Read" or "Completed" or delete them or hide them once we have read that message.

Need to be able to give users access to see "roles".
The "Roles" need to be seen by users, not just administrators. Please make it possible for users to see the "Roles" without being an admin. It makes no sense that a user (who is not an admin) cannot lookup who the "Associate Advisor" or "CSA" for a particular client is.

Speak Profile Picture
We should be able to add a profile picture on Redtail Speak since it has the "blank photo" icon next to the user which cannot be changed.

Use RedTail Login for RedTail websites
Every time I visit this site (the feedback area) it's a deal to get logged in. RedTail credentials should be used to login.

Required Fields
I want the ability to make some fields required when adding a new contact. For example, I'd like my team to be forced to include a Family Name, Status, Category, and Servicing Advisor. With these fields not being required, they get missed and when they are missed, I can't use Redtail data to the best of my ability when running reports and analyzing data.

Temporarily be able to change Redtail TABS for project work
When I have three or four Redtail tabs open for database clean-up work it would be REALLY helpful if I could right click on a tab and temporarily change its title to what I've sorted or set up. Doing so would NOT change anything on your end, but on my end, when I have a number of these and other tabs open in my browser, and I'm going back and forth among and between them, your tabs would say what I need them to say rather than merely repeats of "Redtail CRM: Contacts" . . . who agrees? :-)

filtering by advisor
In our office, advisors have access to each other's Retail records so that if they interact with the other's clients, it can be documented. We don't want to change this permission but we do want to be able to sort/filter clients by advisor. In other words, when the advisor opens Retail, they want to see just their clients. I am told this function is not available, we would like to suggest to add it as an option

24-Hour Clock | Military Time Format
I would like to be able to set my Redtail time format to military time. For example, 13:00 for 1pm, 14:00 for 2pm, etc. This would carry through to notes, calendar events, etc. using the 24-hour format.

mail merge
Mail Merge - We use a quick list to pull up each month’s birthdays, then run a mail merge to print birthday letters for those clients.The letters print in alphabetical order right now, but the ability to print them in date order would be helpful.

change database owner
RedTail does not currently allow the database owner to be changed to a different userID. This prevents that userID from ever being able to be listed as a 'disabled' status. This is problematic if an employee/userID who should no longer be listed as database owner is linked as it cannot be transferred to the appropriate person or if the person who is listed as database owner is terminated.

Two Factor Authentication - Remove option for "Remember This Device"
Force Two Factor Authentication each time a user logs in and don't let the user be the one that can turn this option on or off. All the major software suppliers now provide this option yet Redtail does not. This is a significant security flaw.

Default Permissions
When working with multiple teams, there should be a way to default all records associated with a contact to the permissions assigned to the contact. It is a manual and multi-step process to ensure all activities, notes, etc related to a contact are set to the same permissions as that of the contact. This should be accomplished either through automation and/or be able to be set by the admin to apply throughout the instance. By defaulting to a set team and then having to make a manual adjustment to assign to a different user, team or role makes a lot…

Password Manager
It would be nice to see a password manager built in redtail for shared passwords as well as employee passwords for our clients, customers, and vendors. We should be able to export and import. We would love to be able to store and update all in one location.

Adjust Filter Settings
When viewing a contact's opportunities, the filter is automatically set to the beginning of the year. For me (1-1-21). When I view a client it often appears that there are no opportunities available. I have to go in and manually adjust the filter to show more each time. I would like for there to be a way to adjust your filter settings so that the close date can show all available opportunities for each client automatically without having to change the filter each time.

allow more than one primary contact email to receive alerts and information from Redtail
Currently it is understood that there can be only one individual assigned to receive emails from Redtail. It would be very helpful if at least the data base owner and an admin assistance could assigned to receive the emails so that if one or the other is not available, issues could be addressed in a more timely manner and the information could be disseminated to other members in the office
