Activity / Notes Formatting Problem
When we link more than 5 accounts to an activity, the resulting note (after the activity is completed and posted) becomes very narrow and hard to read. It shrinks from about 15–20 words per line to only 5–7 words.
We believe this happens because the linked accounts are displayed in columns instead of a list (rows), which reduces the available space for the note text.
Please consider updating the layout so the linked accounts display in a list format or wrap more efficiently, allowing the note to retain its full width.

AI that can read all of a client notes
Use AI to read all clients' notes and have the ability to ask questions. I have about 20 years of notes, and looking through them is time-consuming.

You should be able to edit a note that was previously created.

Zocks Note formatting when imported to RedTail
Activities imported from Zocks retain the formatting in Redtail.
But Notes imported from Zocks lose the formatting and are imported in plain hard-to-read format. Keep the Zocks Note formatting.3 votes -
Note borders
The borders in the notes are all the same making it very hard to separate a whole note from the content inside a note. The border around the whole contact notes section is ALSO the same making it even more chaotic - too many lines create less visual separation.
Maybe make the border of each note thicker or bolder so we can separate the note from the contents of the note easily.3 votes -
Edit Notes / Comments
It is critical to be able to edit notes and comments. When we have multiple employees working with the same client, at the same time, it is crucial that everyone notates every conversation, action item, and pending task being performed in real time. However, sometimes those notes/comments need to be adjusted to account for updates. Currently everytime an adjustment needs to be made, we must create a new note or add additional comments....which usually results in a note becoming ridiculously long. select notes to move between contacts
The ability to select specific notes to move from one contact to another without having to move them all. Or, the ability to copy notes and have them keep the original date & time of completion.

Pinned Notes Should Appear On Client Dashboard
I came to add this suggestion but found it was already mentioned. Years ago. But nothing was ever implemented. It seems like it would be an easy fix and feels like it should be common sense feature, but if you have a note that is important enough that you want to pin it, why can't that note appear at the top of the Recent Notes on the client dashboard. Or at least somewhere on the main dashboard. Feels like it sort of defeats the purpose of highlighting a note if I have to navigate to another section to be reminded…

Ability to resize images copy/pasted into notes
When I copy and paste our emails into a note, our company logo always show up humongous. We are looking for the ability to shrink the images within the note itself without having to delete it. Without that freedom, RT starts to fall behind the competition.

Keep formatting when copying text from Word Documents to Contact Notes
I create Review Summaries in MS Word for our clients post-review. In addition to emailing the PDF versions to the clients, I copy the summaries in the Contact Notes section for the Advisors to refer back to for portfolio changes, to recall items requested from clients or check in on progress. Can you please update CRM to keep text formatting from Word Documents when we copy text from a Word Document and paste it into the Notes Section under a Contact? It makes more work for us, when we have to reformat heavily formatted text in the Notes section post-pasting.

talk to text feature
In the notes we would like a feature where we can talk to text into the notes so we do not have to type up notes each time. Also if you could integrate Windows Copilot into Redtail that would be nice.

Rep chat comments
Currently, the rep chat info goes into the notes section. When looking for notes, you have to scroll through and it's cumbersome at times because some clients text all the time. Is there a way to have another section for that or distinguish rep chat vs true notes??

A checkbox to copy note to all related family members
Instead of manually searching and copying related family members, a checkbox to automatically copy all family members to the note. In addition the ability to check this box automatically as a part of a note template

When tagging additional contacts in a note, any contacts that autopopulate should be BEFORE the "Add new contact" option. Not after.
When I go to tag an additional contact, I begin typing their name (e.g. "stev" for Steve). If I have 1 contact named Steve it should populate that name above the "create new contact" option so that I can hit enter as soon as I have the name partially typed

Changing activity category should make it searchable in notes
If you change the category of completed activities, they should be able to be searchable by that category in notes. I recently changed the activity type to "Client Review" so I could filter out these notes, but was told that the category does not change for completed activities on the notes section.

Notify users when comment added to a note
users can notify team members when adding a note to contact, but that option is not available when adding comments. Should be consistent.
