  1. Adding account selection to workflows

    Please add the option of linking an account to a workflow (similar to how you tag an account to an activity). This would prevent manual entry of an account number when working on a workflow that that is needed. For example, if the workflow is to move money in or out of a particular account, it would be nice to tag the particular account that is affected to the workflow. It shouldn't be mandatory to create a workflow, but optional based on account-specific workflows.

  2. Minimize Workflow View During Edit / Creation

    When editing a workflow - all of the boxes are expanded and it's a lot to scroll through. Instead of going through each individual box to click the arrow to condense the boxes into smaller lines, could there options to condense the whole workflow, or condense sections to minimize the amount that is on the screen. This would be helpful for editing / reviewing / printing / screenshots, etc.

  3. specific dates for workflows

    I would love to create workflows in lieu of activities to reminder me to send invoices and greeting cards to clients. Please add the functions of specific dates for tasks so this can be done.

  4. Workflow tasks should show up in the regular activity list of "things to do today".

    I would like Workflow Tasks to show up in the regular activity list of "things to do today". That way, I can view past, upcoming, etc. workflow tasks in my regular activities list. Our entire office, including owner, HATE having to go to a completely separate area to see workflow tasks. As a matter-of-fact, many Workflow tasks are missed because they do not show in the regular activities list. This feature would be VERY helpful in doing our work, planning, and filling in when staff members are absent.

  5. Give Workflow Tasks the Option to Repeat Daily if Not Completed

    My boss is notorious for not completing assigned tasks. Which means for every task of his, I have to schedule one for me for the day after, so I can reschedule it. There should be an option to have the tasks repeat daily/weekly/etc if not completed. Please.... help an admin out!

  6. Give Workflow Tasks the Option to Repeat Daily if not Completed

  7. Workflow Reporting

    Please create a workflow report which shows the exact task that the workflow is on rather than all the tasks that are still open in the workflow. We would like to run a report to see exactly where we are in the workflow. The Workflow Task report is very confusing as it shows all the tasks still needing to be done rather than the one we are currently working on. It is not a useful too in determining what task we need completed. Thank you for your consideration!

  9. Add the date a workflow is created

    We use workflows daily, and itis challenging to determine the age of a workflow. It would help if the date the workflow was created were automatically noted in the Workflow section, so we can sort by date and address older workflows that need attention.

  10. Improve on the Workflow interface when creating/editing a workflow

    The interface is very clunky and confusing when creating or editing a workflow. The field description for the tasks is small, and it is challenging to organize the workflow on a higher level. Would like the tasks/steps to be one line with the ability to expand on each if needed, or expand/close all to see the higher level.

    When creating or editing a workflow template, there should be the ability to collapse all the tasks in the workflow with a click so that you see the STEPS ONLY. Then the option to unfold the STEP to see just the TASKS. And lastly unfold the TASKS to see details within that task. This way, when editing you can have a better bird's eye visual without all the details in the way to move things around accordingly. Currently we have to collapse the whole workflow one at a time.

  13. Direct Access to Email Templates within Workflow Tasks

    Currently, sending a templated email from within a workflow is a multi-step process that requires navigating out of the workflow task and manually locating the client’s profile to initiate an email. The current process can involve up to 13 clicks:

    Current Click Path (13 Total):
    Enter the activity
    Enter the linked workflow (via automation)
    Enter the workflow task (identify that sending an email is the next step)
    Exit the workflow task
    Click on linked contacts
    Click on the target contact
    Go to the contact’s profile page
    Click on the contact’s email address
    Select the email template
    Send the email
    Under…

  14. Add client's name to a workflow on the calendar

    I have an automated workflow for Client Reviews. When I activate the workflow it simply says Client Review on the calendar. When there are multiple reviews, you have to open each one to see the client you are working on.

  15. workflow template

    As workflows can be confusing to several users, it would be nice if there were actual templates to use in which you simply plug in the information/link to a client. For example, client onboarding is a very common process for all financial advisory companies. It would be useful to have a 'traditional' template in Redtail already set up so any user could plug in information and have automation set up to internal processes.   16. workflow outcomes restarting the workflow due date

    Why would there be outcomes that could essentially restart a workflow but not restart the due date? On top of that, how come we cannot schedule the optimal time fame for an outcome restart?

  18. Hyperlink to Activity from Linked workflow generated via automation

    Currently when a workflow is generated via an automation by an activity trigger, there is a link at the top of the activity to be able to go to the workflow generated. There should be a similar link on the top or somewhere on the workflow page that goes back to the activity it's linked to.

    Why is this necessary if the activity is open already in another tab of your browser you may ask?

    Because you can open workflows from other places in the CRM and not have quick access to the activity or even know what activity it's…

  19. Add Basic Contact Data (phone, email, DOB, SOC#) as a side column so that when we are in Workflows,we can see that data without clicking out

    I work in Workflows all day. There are many times throughout the day that I need access to the clients basic info (DOB, SOC#, Email, phone), and I have to leave the workflow to get to that data. My workaround has been to keep two windows open, but it's a pain. It would be nice to have a side column that shows basic data of the client you are in while you are in the workflow.

  20. workflow reports - more info needs to be included

    we are a CPA firm as well as a wealth management firm. We tried to use Redtail workflows this year for tax season and it didn't work well for us. It would be nice if we could easily pull reports to make sure where the workflows are routed, and what step they are on. When I click on "workflows" on the left hand side, it doesn't give enough info. I would like to see which employee it is assigned to and what step it is at in the process (interview, prep, review, etc), and also how many days it's been…
