Searchable calendar
I would like to request a second look at making the calendar searchable, which I see was declined several months ago. When scheduling multiple appointments each day, it is very time consuming to have to go into each client's record and then sift through their activities to see when their last appointment was. In Outlook, it is a snap to search the calendar by client name and instantly have a list of their past/future appointments.
This feature has been added by the Redtail Development team! https://help.redtailtechnology.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402694539931-Filtering-your-calendar

**RedTail Calendar Needs a Search Bar / To Be Searchable *By Keyword*.** This would be beneficial in a number of ways, but today its absence has me frustrated with one thing in particular...In our office we like to keep track of how many Client Meetings and Prospect Meetings our Advisors have each month. These topics have been added into our RedTail account as "Types" and "Categories", which the advisors are supposed to set each time they add one of these activities. However, inevitably every month, the advisors skew the numbers because they forget to set the category on a handful of their appointments....the only current way to correct this is to painstakingly manually click through all days of all the advisors calendars, and open up each individual activity to see if the category was chosen correctly.....This is a highly unnecessarily laborious task. We should just be able to Search on the Calendar Page by Typing a Keyword into a Search Bar (much like the very basic "Shift+F7" command). Outlook and virtually every other program and website hosts this feature - so why doesn't RedTail?

It would be extremely helpful to have a search bar in the calendar to find client appointments while in the calendar or search for specific words

being able to search the calendar for appointments in the future or past would be very beneficial

I agree, this makes things very difficult when someone else makes an entry and can't remember when they put it in, and forgot to link it to the client... happened yesterday. I had to spend 230 minutes going through all dates one by one until I found it.

This would be a great feature. Actually, ANY search feature in the calendar would be welcomed!!

Calendar Search by NAME: I would love to be able to do a search by client name or activity name in the calendar, especially when trying to track down an appointment made six months out (or longer).

Insane that this feature isn't in a modern CRM system!

YES, YES, YES. I can search my google calendar by any term that I have used in my calendar appointments. This is really a MUST in any calendar program

I wholeheartedly stand behind all these users who are asking for a searchable calendar. The difficulty with relying only on individual contact records boils down to "data in = data out"; if you don't have consistent entry by multiple users, you can't always find what you need to find. Please make the calendar searchable by name or activity.

Our old CRM didn't have the ability to link clients with activities, so when our calendar activities were brought over to Redtail, they still don't have clients attached. Would be great to be able to search for keywords.

A search section for the calendar when you are looking to see what day
a subject or a client is scheduled for without having to go through the contact record. -

On the calendar I would like to see the a feature to filter activities by "next week" and also, when I do a custom range to use the "current year" as opposed to defaulting to 1977.

This would be a great feature for us. I would like to be able to search the calendar for names of people who were not clients when we met with them. We see a lot of people who are not clients and some who do not become clients. Since they are not "linked" to the appointment, I have to go back and search every day if I want to find an old appointment.

You can already do this. Find the client's record in Contacts, then click on Activities. Set the filter to the appropriate time frame and it should show you the upcoming appointments.

I would like to be able to search for a client in the calendar and limit that search to a month and year if needed

add a search box so that you can enter a client name and see all dates that connect to their name.
That way you can see how many times (and what actual dates) a client was. -

Make calendar activities searchable. Create a search box to locate a keyword or client name that was previously entered into the activity field for a calendar entry. Make the search effective for across multiple months/years and have the search take you to the particular date that the keyword or client name appears in the calendar entry. If there are multiple dates the search appears offer a drop down to select which date to view.

This has been a bother to our firm for years. Please add an option to search the calendar events!

I would like this also. We used google calendar for a while before we switched. This is so much quicker to just search it
