membership automatic set up
It would be nice if some of the membership relationships could be set up automatically when the membership is intuitive. Maybe an option or check box that says, "would you like to automatically add this relationship to: bob brewer, jenny jones and michelle miller". Lets say steve brewer, bob , jenny and michelle are all brothers and sisters; kate brewer is steve's wife . I add mike brewer as steve's father. It would be nice if redtail could figure out that mike is also bob, jenny and michelle's father as well as kate's father-in-law. This issue gets compounded when you add in grandparents, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, nephews & nieces. I add lynn as steve's daughter; when bob is already set up as steve's brother and mike is steve's father, it would be nice to have redtail ask to automatically add lynn as a niece to bob and a grandchild to mike. We deal with a lot of family relationships, often multi-generational. It can get cumbersome adding in all of these relationships especially when they are, for the most part, intuitive.
More information is needed internally before a decision can be made. Nothing is needed from Redtail clients at this time.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

If we indicated that the client is the grandparent, then the corresponding connection should auto-generate that the other person is the grandchild or step-grandchild. -

"Memberships" also doesn't seem like the right label if for a group you have to put in each relationship individually: Joe is Mary's brother. Sue is Mary's mother. Sue is Joe's mother. Sean is Joe's cousin. Sean is Mary's cousin. Rather than Joe, Mary, Sue, and Sean are all Members of the Doe family.

Also if the default could be intuitive -i.e. if one is the parent, the connected individual is probably the child.
