assign a task to the workflow owner
Please add an option to Assign a task under a workflow to the owner of the workflow. That way workflows that we can create a workflow assigned to teams as owners, that have steps listed with the owner of the workflow as the person responsible. Then the team member who pick up the workflow can change the ownership to themselves and the ownership of the underlying tasks will change to that person without them manually having to reassign them.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Agreed! We have a lot of WFs that are one person WFs that are created by one person for someone else. Right now, if I create the WF, I can set the assignment to me. But if I want the task assignments to go to someone else, THEY have to create the WF, which is a nuisance. Thanks for adding this!

Agreed! This would be a very helpful feature to be able to assign a WF to the owner of the WF... enabling me to kick off a WF for someone else. Call that other person "the owner" and assign tasks to "the owner of the WF."

I see there have been similar suggestions and Redtail has marked them as "completed" because "this can be achieved using roles". It most definitely cannot be! Please make this update. Lyndsey phrased it perfectly.
