Merge client appointment dates & times into a Word template for a mail merge
For years we were able to produce our 400+ annual tax appt letters to our clients w/o issue. However, things changed about 2 or 3 seasons ago. Not only would our appt dates and times not merge into our appt letters like before but we found something else was very wrong. Something in the programing also must have been altered. We found all of our appts to be shifted by one minute which caused choas in the schedule, reports and our appt letters. Thank goodness the "one minute off" issue was finally resolved. But we were still faced w/ being told "RT doesn't have that (merging appts into our annual tax letters) ability". We were not only very confused of the change but very disappointed. It caused our office to be very out of sorts and has consumed a lot of unnecessary time every year trying to make due ever since.
With that said, can we PLEASE have a simple to use feature that allows us to run a report of our tax appointments and have those client's appts w/ their appointment dates and times merge into our in office tax appointment letter document that we send out to our clients every year? So far I've been "making due" the best that I can but our letters are not coming out as professional & as we would like them to as they did in the past. I can "make it work" if I could just plug in a specific formulated field with the date and time from RT that Word recognizes. I'd imagine it'd be pretty simple if something could be formulated by RT to communicate w/ Word to accomplish this.
This issue has taken quite a toll on our office this past 2 or 3 yrs. It caused great stress, confusion and loss of productivity during the most critical and intense time of year for our office. I love RT and don't want to leave but my boss (and I) have been very unhappy w/ the change that resulted in the loss of ability to produce one of the most imperative tasks of the year. We are very dependent on our annual appointment letters. Our clients depend on them. They are the back bone of our tax preparation business.
Due to the effect it has had on our office productivity the past 2 - 3 yrs, my boss has been ISO a new CRM. I've already had to do trials w/ a new prospect which was stressful having to unlearn RT and learn another CRM with only 1 month before our annual letters are due to go out. I'm grateful that Nathan suggested that I use your "Suggest a Feature". I'm with very high hopes that your team can make this happen and we can stay with RT! :)
Please keep me posted!
